The good news is that the RB10 has done 13 laps. The bad news is that it caught fire on the 14th.

There's also a flat spot on the rear-left tyre.

I always wanted Red Bull to ditch Renault. Now is the perfect time.

Vettel says it was the rear brakes that locked.

He also said this:
"It's not easy to find a quick fix, but I think we understand the problems. It's not that easy to find the solution for the problems we've found. I think we have fixed the problems from Jerez, where we had a problem with temperature which we seemed to fix with the couple of laps we could do today. But very often you seem to fix one problem and then another problem pops up. I think there is stuff to do on Red Bull Racing's side in terms of reliability - temperatures in general around the car - and there is stuff on Renault's side. But it's not fair to separate those two, we are a team and we have been very successful over the last years together. It's not the start we were hoping for, but we've still got some time and clever people on board that can hopefully fix the problems."

Redbull without Renault would have seen Vettel without 4 titles. No engine maps and off throttle blowing, pure customer engine system which Merc and Ferrari certainly wouldn't have allowed them to have a better engine in their car.

I hope renault leave redbull and focus on Lotus, everything that goes wrong RBR blame Renault. Renault cant have a team member on the podium without wearing an RBR shirt, got to ditch the Renaultsport shirt.

In fairness, that's the regulations not Red Bull's fault.

Its not a shot at the regulations Phil, its more of how much Renault invested into RBR and how they've got little exposure until things go round for the past year or two. Redbull without Renault, will suffer badly.

Renaults problem is that they havn't had a car they can throw on track for 8 months going round and round unlike Ferrari. They dont have the money like Mercedes or Ferrari. Renaults problems are exacerbated by RBR because of their insistence on such tight packaging.

It makes you question, why RBR and Renault weren't talking regarding their cooling system. I mean, Lotus have meaty and big side pods, everyone laughed at Caterhams humongous ones but look at them; they're doing more laps. So did they have communication? Are Renault that pissed about being forced to use Infinity, their Nissan counterpart which they own 46% of and their attitude to all things wrong are Renau but all things right are Redbull?

In fairness Seb has had a very good run of the green these past 4 seasons and I like the way he's maturely handling the PR side of the situation. Perhaps it is about time he had a share of the bad luck Fernando and Lewis have suffered at Ferrari and McLaren alike. Should be an interesting start to the season.

Renault say their issues are basically fixed to the point that they wont be the cause of issues.
