Here's Joe's take on the 2014 calendar. I agree with him.
http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2013/09/ ... t-balance/

For 'normal' people, the price of covering F1 has rocketed. Remember that everyone in F1 (nearly) is based in Western Europe, mainly UK. Even in 2003 there were 16 races, with 10 in Europe.

F1 should start one end of the world and finish at the other. instead of bitting and bobbing around, just do a point to point. If the weather is bad; tough. Get out there and bloody race. You crash? Shame. Just get on with the job.

It's not viable to do that from a financial point of view, but Joe's point is that you should have some races closer together.

Its more viable than flying here there and everywhere. Why not have all the asian races together; korea, japan, china then do the middle east, then europe the brazil/usa/canada?

Apparently this is the layout for Hermanos Rodriguez next year
Image

- Re-configured T1/2/3
- Esses more 'pointy'
- Stadium section, rather than the Paraltada.
- S/F line slightly diagonal on exit of last corner.

- No run off at turn 1 or turn 10
- Remodelled end of the circuit is a carbon copy of Indianapolis
- Turn 1 is now further on compared to original
- All corners bar turns 8 and 12 are squared off

This makes zero sense

Good for them. Second seat to be confirmed in the future, waiting to see what Chilton can cough up or if McLaren can offer a sweeter deal with Magnussen. On talent they'd surely take Magnussen but money is obviously a factor.

Sauber has confirmed talks with Barrichello. :| Would rather see Gutierrez given another chance.

I'm very happy that they didn't choose Dubai. Thanks god :shhh:

Is it a good thing that The Tyrants get more money? :zz:

The circuit in Dubai is great. I wouldn't mind having a Formula One race there in the future, provided it replaces one of the other Middle East events.

I'm surprised you like Bahrain given that Alonso didn't win there this year.

Always liked Bahrain. Who wins there doesn't matter. By your stupid logic I wouldnt like Spa because Alonso has never won there. Kids these days :
