Man, Kimi going back to Ferrari is what I always wanted so this is a wish come true for me. Maybe I will start attending races again if there is some good competition going on. :)

McLaren is getting zero information from Mercedes. They're effectively going into 2014 totally blind.

Ferrari will decide on Wednesday from what I've heard and it will probably be Raikkonen. Hulkenberg will replace him at Lotus (which is better than nothing but probably another bad career move).

I've heard various things about the 2014 engines over the weekend and how they're faring, it will be interesting to see whether they come true next season.

I think going to Lotus is the best what the hulk can do at the moment. It's a better team than Sauber. What things you heard about the engines?

Each unit has various weaknesses at the moment - it depends whether they can sort out those issues. One supposedly just can't get enough power, another is supposedly the best but unsure whether it can do a full race distance.

its pretty easy to deduce though! The rumours on Merc making 100bhp more, Ferrari being frightfully underpowered, and Renault not being much better than Ferrari.

Sure, but it could be better to have no information but a lot more power than your rivals for one year.

Mercedes has never been great with reliability, until the last few years when everyone is as they're so used to the engines.

Sure, they might get back on the podium but it'll be 2015 before they're competitive again.

They hold it back because of Honda in 2015. Thats the only reason. A need-to-know basis as Mclaren have zero say on the engine.

Thanks Phil. It will be exciting to see who will come out on top and how it will evolve thoughout the year. But I'm most looking forward to what they will sound like. And I suppose the cars will change shape slightly because the engine is smaller.
