I think Alonso has every right to be upset, he could have easily won in 2010 and 2012. in 2010 Ferrari's stupid strategy meant that he lost the championship and in 2012 he was best, but F1 2012 wasn't the best car out there, he managed to get some outstanding results with that. the thing is he is now looking at a driver like Vettel and sees that he has a faster car which gives him the chance to fight for wins, poles and WDCs.something that Alonso hasn't had for the past 4 years.
I agree with mikhailv, Ferrari should be grateful about signing Alonso and instead of criticizing him for asking for a faster car they should try and solve their windtunnel and CFD problems.
A craven can be as brave as any man, when there is nothing to fear. And we all do our duty, when there is no cost to it. How easy it seems then, to walk the path of honor.

I dont think he was undermining the team. I think whats undermining is what Ferrari have done in public. Alonso said for his birthday he wants a new car, and they do this? I hope now he leaves Ferrari. Screw winning another title; lets see how far Ferrari get without him now.

Then again Ferrari never like to be criticised. Look at Prost. 'No driver bigger than the team' well 'no team bigger than the truth' either

Maybe Alonso should go back to Renault, I mean Lotus again. :p

Alonso finally sees the true colour of Luca. :zz:

The Marussia-Ferrari engine deal does not secure Bianchi's future with the team

Just like Santanader didnt secure Alonso ;)

Tbf if Bianchi is dropped for any reason other than going to Ferrari, bullets should be shot.

Adam Cooper is pretty sure the meeting was about Alonso and not Carlos Sainz Jr.

Alonso-Kimi wouldve been a dream bak in 2005-2007. Now? I cant see it being that fruitful. Kimi isn't the same as he was before but the major point is Ferrari got rid of Kimi for Alonso, they had the chance to have this pairing back in 2010, they chose Massa, kicked kimi out and it ended less than amicably. So why would kimi return?

At least we have 4 weeks to mull over the bull and dream team scenarios.

Finally, silly season lost it's sillyness.

Ferrari offering Kimi (if true) is 110% appropriate, and a very good call indeed. I'm surprised they didn't get him after his 1-yr pay out.

I think Ferrari retained Massa because they couldn't sack him after the accident. Had it been me they sacked after an in-track accident injury i would sue the life out of Ferrari.... anyways...

Ferrari would do a good thing if they bring Kimi in. That means Kimi would have to surrender some of his contractual demands. The kind that Alonso, Vettel and Hamilton have... and he has at Lotus. But he would have to compromise on this no matter where he goes, unless he stays at Lotus.

Kimi + Alonso = gold.
IF they have a good car. Otherwise it'll be more rubbish.

'
Mansell is a very good driver.

"Why not Nigel?"
 Well he never officially announced his retirement, was linked to a Minardi drive in 2001. :p

Finnish media is quoting a close Italian source of theirs saying the Kimi-Ferrari deal is done.

I initially laughed at the rumour, but Kimi did say something in Hungary that "Whatever the decision will be it might feel stupid to somebody else but then it might feel right for me."

I still don't think it's going to happen though!

I just feel that if it were to happen within a couple of seasons the situation between him and Montezemolo would be the same again. Regarding that Hungary quote, I don't know that it would feel right for Kimi given how things ended before.

Imagine Smedley and Kimi though.

I never imagined Kimi staying in F1 for a couple more seasons though anyway.

Montezemolo is a prick though. His comments about most previous drivers say it all. Be it kimi, be it his 'false michael' comments. The guy needs to be taken with a pinch of salt and a shot of vinegar.
