'Manufacturer team gets rid of best person from management' - every manufacturer team, ever. :p

Here's the main point from that press conference

Agreed.
I concur aswell. but the problem is, Brawn is an old herald from Honda. He had to sell to Mercedes because Richard Branson (the t***) didnt feel he would get good money from buying Brawn. Hell he bitterly complained about £250k a race sponsorship saying it was too expensive. Then he goes and funds marussia.... tard

I mean if you look at Nick Fry; he was removed from Mercedes this year. He was an old dinosaur of the Honda years. Brawn will be removed because of that knob lauda. He was a great driver, but the man is an utter ar****le.

Mercedes needs to keep it as it is now. The plan, or so I gather, is for Paddy Lowe to become team principal at the start of 2014. It's a little perplexing as Lowe has never held such a lofty position.

Rumours from the start was Lowe replacing Brawn wasn't it. Stranger things have happened though after all, who wouldve thought a Resturant owner and Insurance salesman would run a team to 4 wdc and 3 wcc?

It will be a tough job for Lowe, but I think he would do a decent job. Im surprised Toto hasn't come in to do it under the guidance of Emperor palpatine from Austria.

It's interesting to hear Brawn say that the test was his decision.

He would not say that unless he was absolutely certain that Mercedes cannot be punished. But even if Mercedes are not penalised, we know who the fall guy could be...

From Ross Brawn's interview with Eddie Jordan, it seems like he thinks the best tactic is to put the ball firmly in Pirelli's court ("It was a Pirelli test" x5). But he sounds shaky. Then again, so would I or anyone else, because it's not like they have a leg to stand on.
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

A good point raised by Gary Anderson that the test will have helped Hamilton - if he's struggling with the brakes he's had probably around 500km of running.

Brundle says that if Mercedes is only given a small fine, it'll probably mean other teams will go and test...

The FIA should give Pirelli a 1 race ban. :p

For the way they've been treated by the teams, the FIA and also some of the fans, Pirelli should go to the hearing, flip the bird to F1 (either actual or metaphorical) and then walk away from the sport.

Ill laugh if nothing happens. Ferrari and Redbull should just ask Pirelli for some tyres, go and do 1000km and point the finger and say 'well, £25million fine is nothing for £100million worth of data. YOU set the precedent.'

A fine would be useless. It must be a sporting penalty; points deduction or, which would be quite extreme, complete disqualification from the constructor's championship like McLaren 2007.

We won't see them out of F1 though. F1 needs Mercedes.

They should get either a 5 race ban with no allowance for running the car, or they should be DSQ from constructors. Both of those will lead to Merc leaving the sport. They in effect have a brilliant blackmail position.
