This is entirely the point about Vettel.

Vettel doesn't have the instintiveness of either Hamilton or Alonso, but he's still very effective. I'm still a little sceptical of Vettel as an overall package but he's already a 3 time world champion and he has many years of personal development ahead of him. That's not only a thrilling prospect, but also rather scary.

There may be times when Vettel makes basic errors but when you compare him to his peers he's not much different. For example, how many times did Hamilton hit something or Massa throughout 2011?
