2013 Formula One Discussion
Re: 2013 Formula One Discussion
I think RB cost Webber the title in 2010. They'd rather Vettel won it than Webber. He was solid.
From then on.... inconsistent. I wouldnt blame it all on him though. But its difficult to say how much is just him and how much is Vettel being really good. And 2012 Vettel wasn't exactly at his best and still made Webber look weak.
But anyways, as for RB replacing Webber, i would say its more a matter of politics/other interests... unfortunately. But that's how it goes.

Re: 2013 Formula One Discussion
RBR s*** on webber to trick Ferrari. Disgusting what they did.
Re: 2013 Formula One Discussion
RB almost cost Vettel the title in 2010. Don't forget 3 race wins and even more points went down the drain due to mechanical failures. 2010 was a great year for Webber, and he was good, but no way was he better than Vettel. I don't think there are many people saying Button was (almost) as good better than Hamilton last year, despite them being just 2 points apart.F1EA wrote:I think RB cost Webber the title in 2010.
Unless you have some proof for that, rubbish.mikhailv wrote:RBR s*** on webber to trick Ferrari. Disgusting what they did.
If Webber was doing what a championship contender is supposed to be doing, fighting for the race win instead of for 4th, he wouldn't have been in the mess he got himself into.
Re: 2013 Formula One Discussion
Webber in 2010, outscored Vettel until the last race. Ignore that fact if you want. Its there for all to see. If we go by your view, Ferrari cost Alonso the WDC in Canada, but you dont look at it like that because its about a season on the whole. Ofcourse, your may want to wash over the face He took himself out of Turkey and Belgium, but dont let that warp your perception eh because it wouldve been RBR's fault, eh.mnmracer wrote:RB almost cost Vettel the title in 2010. Bollocks and you know it. The pitted webber early so Ferrari would react. Ignore it if you want, I'll just continue to laugh. Even on autosport people were laughing at your idiocy. And regarding team orders and how Webber lied and put a front on; Hello Vettel apologising. Hello Vettel saying he didnt know what Multi-21 is, Hello Massa saying Germany wasn't team orders, Hello Alonso in the press conference. Just a few examples of whatsitcalled, SAVING FACE.

Simple question: do you think Button scoring just 2 points less than Hamilton in 2012 is an indication that, in 2012, Button was as good as Hamilton?mikhailv wrote:Webber in 2010, outscored Vettel until the last race. Why, if you say so, then it must be true.mikhailv wrote:Bollocks and you know it. The pitted webber early so Ferrari would react.
I guess Webber was doing just great in 5th position then. Right where a championship contender should be.

Re: 2013 Formula One Discussion
Difference between Ham/But 2012; Lewis had 2 accidents and 4 mechanical faults to Buttons 2 faults. Webber had 2 accidents, Vettel had 2 accidents and mechanical faults totalling 4. Both Vet/Web had 10 podiums in which Webber had 4 and Vettel 5 wins. Lowest finishing points was 9th for Webber, 7th for Vettel. Korea, Vettel lost zero points to webber. both crashed out. Vettel took himself out of Belgium and Nearly took both of them out of Turkey. Vettel wasn't on par with Webber that year, and if you like to think RBR didn't sacrifice Webber to trick Ferrari then by all means live in that dream world.mnmracer wrote:Simple question: do you think Button scoring just 2 points less than Hamilton in 2012 is an indication that, in 2012, Button was as good as Hamilton?mikhailv wrote:Webber in 2010, outscored Vettel until the last race. 5th position? Not a clue what you're on about.

No wonder you have such a warped view of Vettel if your memory is playing tricks on you like that.
Bar mechanical faillures, Vettel would have 8 wins to Webber's 4.
And of all the people disagreeing with you that Vettel was not on par with Webber, most notably the team prinicpals voted Vettel 2nd best driver, to Webber 4th.
What position was Webber in when he made his first pit stop?mikhailv wrote:5th position? Not a clue what you're on about.

I meant both crashed out in the year. We all know Vettels engine failed and webber crashed out of korea. You know exactly what I mean. Webber spun and took Rosberg. And So what if 'vettel would have 8 to webbers 4', he didn't. He doesn't. He took himself out of two races and had two further mechanical faults. End of.mnmracer wrote:Both crashed out in Korea.mikhailv wrote:Difference between Ham/But 2012; Lewis had 2 accidents and 4 mechanical faults to Buttons 2 faults. So what if webber was 5th? That would've took him to 2nd in the championship if he stayed in 5th which he would've most likely improved on that position, and he wouldn't have been stuck behind Alonso or Petrov. Fact is, they used webber as a ploy for Vettel. People said it when the race was happening. Its simple as. Believe what you want. Like I care lol.

Anyway, it is clear you are not interested in a quality discussion based on equal standards. You either deny facts, apply double standards or voice opinions shared by <7% of F1 knowledgees. I have better things to do then waste the time of me and other forum members on someone whose only interest is twisting things to such idiotic proportions just so that you can justify to yourself you're not acting like a complete idiot.
You go and lol little man.
