Maybe next time Kimi should drive at least 10 laps and then tell the team that his steering sucks :zz:

I understand that the team was disappointed when the steering didn't work as intended, but the way it was reported made it sound like rather than being disappointed the team was somehow offended. And that is just wrong. I mean they are professional engineers and if a piece of equipment doesn't work properly, then it doesn't work properly. There are no two ways about it. It doesn't matter if the part is designed specifically for Kimi, it doesn't matter how hard you have worked to make that part, it doesn't matter how many laps it took to find it out, it doesn't matter how badly you wanted it to work... if it doesn't work it doesn't work. And making your disappointment publicly known doesn't help. Find out what went wrong and try to fix it.

Sorry for the rant :) I really hope there will be no need to even mention the word "steering" in Canada...
This!

Lotus & Kimi have a normal project management problem:
Image

Kimi on his behalf could easily have avoided silly rumors simply by testing the damn thing in simulator. It it doesn't work in the simulator, it doesn't work on the track. Vice verse might not be true. That way he could have said it's not the same as in simulator.

In any team there are almost always some utterly pessimistic people who goes around spreading their bad feeling to others, letting people believe others are feeling the same. It doesn't make any headlines if it is a scrap yard at the outback of Australia, but if it is a F1 team then printing machines starts rolling. Lotus should handle these kind of attitude problems before they arise.

Even if one should be suspicious to anything team bosses and drivers say, Lotus is a weird team in a way that among all the bulls** they might say in public, they sometimes slip out some words of truth. They just don't always know even themselves what the truth is, and their truth might just be a point of view to what is really happening.

Nice analysis Mar

The whole situation remind me of a film called "The curious case of Benjamin Button". Well it should be Kimi Raikkonen
you mean Kimi will be young again?

Well, not like that. I was referring to the title :p

It is Kimi. :) I have seen also those pants, the shoes obviously. I can also see part of the tattoo on his right arm... If only the picture were bigger and one of his face would be nice. I want to see the hair properly!

Sleenster, thank you very much for the picture! :)
