Seems like a positive day for Ferrari
Fourth and final day of testing for Scuderia Ferrari at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in southern Spain.

Fernando Alonso brought the test to an end, continuing with the work of acquiring data relating to the behaviour of the F2012. Again today, a lot of laps were completed at constant speed, or to a predefined procedure, all of it aimed at gathering as much information as possible about the car, comparing various different configurations.

At the end of the day, 39 laps had been completed, the quickest in a time of 1.18.877, the best of the whole test for the Scuderia. In total, the F2012 has completed 1195.56 kilometres to date, through running 270 laps.

The Scuderia will resume testing on 21 February, at the Catalunya Circuit near Barcelona, with Fernando Alonso the first of its drivers on track

@adamcooperf1: Pirelli says that the Jerez test saw a total of 3380 laps or 14,949 kms covered by its tyres. So now you know!
Interesting Pirelli facts, longest runs this week were hard 26, medium 27, soft 20... And there were 294 sets in total at the track!

I just checked second post of this thread and found out that last Barcelona's tests and Mugello ones are on the same day.
Is it correct? If so, each team can go wherever they want? If so, do we know which team will go to each track?

Looks like Williams with Senna did a race simulation. And Ferrari a qualifying simulation.

Ferrari still doing short runs, then changing a few things then going back out again. It's painstakingly logical at least, but possibly raises the problems they had last year with calibrating the wind tunnel with on track performance.

Pirelli mixed Räikkönen and Grosjean and in their press release they added to Kimi's count the kilometres that Grosjean drove on Thursday.

Not sure whether to believe it, but SportBild claims that Lewis Hamilton told Heikki Kovalainen that McLaren is disappointed with the MP4-27

I rarely trust Bild.

These are Hamilton's actual comments from a few days ago:
Lewis Hamilton wrote:"This car is definitely not predictable at the moment, being brand new. We haven't yet figured out the right set-up of the car. There are lots of different test items that we're going through. It feels like an evolution of last year's car but also there are some things that are not so good. The downforce on the rear for instance, is not as good through the high-speed corners as it was last year, but I'm sure we'll get that back. The car's better on the braking this year for some reason. Corner entry seems to be quite good."
There may be early teething problems but this is testing. I think McLaren are in a good position and the disappointment, if any, won't last long.
