How interesting. Not only Joe Saward but also David Tremayne have strong ties to Caterham:
Joe Saward and David Tremayne become Directors of Caterham Group..
I suppose it is a good idea to have couple of journalists in your back pocket

Group Lotus (Proton) owns Lotus F1 Team. It's quite simple, but the last 24 months or so have made things extraordinarily complicated.

Group Lotus is currently also involved in several other categories of motorsport. It sponsors the ART team in the GP2 and GP3 Series, and the KV team in the IndyCar Series. In 2011, Lotus also returned to the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a semi-works effort run by Jetalliance Racing, which fielded two Lotus Evoras.

Caterham has a GP2 team, as well as an FR3.5 team.

It feels very Ferrari, reminds me of their Horse Whisperer. But not as good.

Very weird Lotus news. First I thought who would give a press release in Facebook  Sounded more like something "Horsemen's News Agency" (Hevosmiesten Tietotoimisto in Finnish; most reliable source of bogus news) would come up. But it is also in Lotus Cars site:
Never let the facts get in the way of a good story….
Last week Lopez told that they no longer have title sponsor and stock option has taken back. Now Lotus Group says not true and they are still title sponsor until 2017. All Lotus F1 Team's assets are put as guarantee for the loan from Proton and Proton still has the rights to purchase 10% of the F1 team. Now Genii and of course DRB-HICOM could too make more confusing press releases and the story could continue for ever :zz: Or besides that Lotus F1 Team believes money grows on trees, they don't even know who owns them ''hmm''

What a PR disaster. Probably thought they were being clever, funny, fighting back. They've just made themselves look worse.

From the news page
http://www.f1zone.net/news/sauber-bans-perezs-father/13444/
Sauber bans Perez’s father

That's an extremely misleading headline and a gross misrepresentation of what Sauber have done. They've simply advised him it might be better to stay away for the sake of his nerves. Banning him sounds like he's done something terrible and they're excluding him for a serious reason. If he wants to go the races, he can.

Peter is a happy man :)

Sauber gets more color and money from Mexico
F1 | Turun Sanomat 11:48

Sergio Perez, who in Malaysian Grand Prix race got the second place for Sauber, have put some pace to a Mexican business world too. In China's race "Visit Mexico" advertising logos will bring color to Sauber C31 cars.

Mexico markets it's tourism industry by colorful characters at the rear wing of Sauber cars in 12 races and it's front in all the remaining 18 race.

- We are happy that this cooperation continues. We can assume that successful outcome have led to the renewal of the agreement, and, of course, Sergio's second place in Malaysia is reflected in national pride in his country, team boss Peter Sauber smiles.
