AUTOSPORT awards tonight, and for some reason Button is one of the nominees for International Racing Driver of the Year.

Because F1 now dominates mainstream motorsport media, that's why.

And I did 10 days of work for them this year and no invite? :(

I'm not, they're not shown unfortunately. They don't start for another 2 hours anyway.

Even allowing for that and just having F1 nominees, I'd say it's still a dubious nomination. :p But it is a British publication, so it's to be expected. And going back through the past list of winners I'd say that's sometimes reflected.

They streamed them online last year, don't seem to be doing so again.

Oh, what I meant is that F1 dominates now. It's more popular and exciting than ever.

WRC is a mess, GT racing is a mess as well. Touring Cars aren't exactly strong either, while IndyCar is also struggling despite a very good season on-track.

Look at Autosport covers. 80% at least are F1 related because it sells.

Difficult to see, but here's the main categories

I'd go with Alonso, Red Bull RB8, Loeb, Citroen DS3, Hamilton, Shedden, Malvern.
