Now Marc Gene might be going to HRT.

In Spanish:
http://eslaf1.wordpress.com/2011/12/28/gene-ficha-por-hrt-durante-1-temporada-junto-a-de-la-rosa-como-piloto-titular/

In Finnish:
http://racingnewsflash.com/node/9521

They say Santander and Repsol would support him with $12 millions if both of HRT's drivers are Spanish. According the source they have almost negotiated the whole deal already. Now where does that come from. I would rather believe Alguersuari going to HRT. Gene hasn't been driving in F1 since 2004.

I find it pretty normal :O

28th December is the day of the Holly Innocents. It commemorates the day Herodes (whatever his name is in English) ordered to kill the children (the Innocents). And we celebrate it in Spain with pranks :p

Tomorrow is 1st January 2012, the first test is 7th February and still no word from Williams... Surely an announcement must come soon.

For a year that was meant to be static, there's been a hell of a lot of changes:

Vitaly Petrov: Renault > ?
Bruno Senna: Renault > ?
Kimi Raikkonen: WRC > Lotus
Romain Grosjean: GP2 > Lotus
Adrian Sutil: Force India > ?
Nico Hulkenberg: Test driver > Force India
Sebastien Buemi: STR > ?
Jaime Alguersuari: STR > ?
Daniel Ricciardo: HRT > STR
Jean Eric Vergne: FR3.5 > STR
Robert Kubica: Renault > Free agent
Charles Pic: GP2 > Marussia
Jerome d'Ambrosio: Virgin > ?
Pedro de La Rosa: McLaren > HRT

Liuzzi says that the change in ownership inside HRT means that his contract is unclear

Buemi could be going to RBR as reserve driver:

I really hope Alguersuari gets a seat for 2012. After being brutally dumped from Toro Rosso I think he deserves one.
If it's true that RBR knew already in Singapore that he is not continuing in STR it was really evil not to tell him in time :<>:
Alguersuari's fate due to Marko row?
http://www.pitpass.com/45446-Alguersuaris-fate-due-to-Marko-row
Now he had now time to secure a seat and the only option might be HRT.

Kind of looks like getting a seat in STR is gambling with your career:

Vitantonio Liuzzi RBR -> Toro Rosso -> Force India -> HRT -> ?
Scott Speed Toro Rosso -> ARCA...
Sebastian Vettel Sauber -> Toro Rosso -> RBR
Sébastien Bourdais -> Toro Rosso -> Le Mans...
Sébastien Buemi Toro Rosso -> RBR reserve driver?
Jaime Alguersuari Toro Rosso -> ?

Yeah when I wrote that article I looked at that list. I wonder, did Red Bull just back a load of drivers who were never going to make it or have some of those driver's careers actually been harmed by Red Bull?
