Plus, Schumacher was going off the boil towards the end of 2004 as you could see his driving wasn't as imperious in 2005 or 2006. The big crucial point though is the tyres, they've made Webber useless this year and he was brilliant in 2010. Kimi has no knowledge of them.
There's also another difference between Räikkönen and Schumacher: Schumacher wasn't competing (except for the few bike races) and Kimi has been competing with different cars (and rallying is a series that requires very high driving skills).
Nevertheless, there're so many reasons that could explain Kimi visiting the Williams factory and that aren't related with driving F1 cars that... I think I will wait

Jaime Alguersari mentioned in the Italian BBC forum how it's hard to adapt your driving style to new tyres. He needed 7 races to know how the Pirelli tyres work, same for Webber this season. It would be a hard challenge for Kimi.
But tbh, I don't think we'll see him again in F1.

Raikkonen won't return unless he's offered a spot at a top team, which at the moment seems unlikely to happen. I can see him moving to sportscars or NASCAR and achieving success.

I've always thought sportscars was more Kimi's series. He's a guy that wants to race fast cars and have fun; unless you're a 42 year old 7 times world championship winning German, Formula One is probably not that place

@NickHeidfeld : Visiting the DTM in Oschersleben this weekend, met Timo. Nice to be here but my focus for 2012 is still on F1. Will be in Singapure next week.

I do feel kind of bad for van der Garde. In his entire career, he's been very very fast, but he's had so much bad luck. Just look at how many times he's either been crashed into or had mechanical faillures in GP2 this year; he would have been championship contender.
However, as always the problem with Dutch drivers, it will be very hard for him to find enough sponsorship money.

Wasn't his dad or father in law going to buy a team? I think that rumour was going around not too long ago

From the BBC site
Jenson Button wants to sign a one-year contract with McLaren for 2012 rather than a long-term deal so he can keep the door open to a potential Ferrari drive in 2013. Fernando Alonso is said to be keen on having the 2009 world champion as a future team-mate.
Full story: Jornal da Tarde (in Brazilian)
Can't see that myself. He seems happy at McLaren. He's pretty much got the measure of Hamilton. If he went to Ferrari he'd be very much second fiddle and they clearly have an eye on Perez for a future Massa replacement.

I totally agree, this story just doesn't make any sense to me. This scenario wasn't plausible with Webber as the protagonist and it isn't with Button.
