It always cost a lot of money, it's just the first time it's ever happened that Williams don't do an official launch event, plus I imagine this annoys sponsors big time, the launch is a big day for sponsors to have eyes all focused on their brand on the new car, imo it's just a huge mistake because of the message it sends, it gives the impression the team is broke and can't afford the most basic publicity, they're apparently just planning on issuing a few cheap photographs of the new car to the media, maybe Patrick Head went out and bought a new £50 disposable digital camera from Amazon.com in order to save them even more money. This is just a horrendous gaff by Williams, especially since they are the only team not doing an official launch event, seems it's within the budget even of Hispania. If we're suddenly 2 seconds a lap quicker as a result of all this, I'll take it all back.

"Drastic" was the word scarbs was told about. Here it is in context "No the mp4-26 is pretty different, its quite drastic and should give you a lot to write about".

As a Ferrari follower I'm left to ask what's innovative? And why is it so... plain... :(
Meh... Guess the tradition of making a Ferrari good looking or striking is gone...

It appears like that. But it's actually a whole lot higher up. Has a horrible top intake, and on the rear of it there's an opening slit?
Alas, this isn't a Ferrari of previous exciting designs. Dammit, it's so plain...

they also said that the driver will be sitting higher (due to new higher nose to improve the airflow under the car). I don't think that it should affect the centre of the gravity much though - KERS will probably compensate it.
