Raikonnen won the Belgian GP in the MP4/19, thus it can't be one of the worst cars ever..

That was the MP4/19B, introduced at Magny Cours.

Kimi Raikkonen's result with the MP4/19: Ret - Ret - Ret - 8 - 11 - Ret - Ret - 5 - 6
DC's: 8 - 6 - Ret - 12 - 10 - Ret - Ret - 6 -7

Worst car? The fist Super Aguri. It was a Arrows from 2002. I mean, how outdated can a car be? If a team uses a modified car from previous season in the first few races, they talk about the old car. What about a car from four years ago, that was already slow at that moment?

The MP4-18? Never manage to get on the grid in 2003, was slower than the MP4-17 ( the 18's full potential couldn't be use because of a terrible reliability ), and fail to pass crash test ^^

Actually it was based on the 2002 Arrows chassis, Super aguri modified it heavily, iirc.

Okay, you're right. But basing your car on a four year old Arrows chassis? The result was not that good. I mean, in a contest for the worst car, the fist Super Aguri is seriously in contention. But I liked the team, and in 2007 they had a better car. They did a good job. A shame they are gone now.

Yeah, the results were never going to be good, the 1989 Eurobrun based it's chassis on a 1984 Alfa Romeo, and they failed to qualify/pre-qualify for every race that season.

I miss Super Aguri too. :(

the 18 was never raced, so it may be unfair to judge the car outright..... but imo, the results that we've seen from the mp4-19 is most likely what we may have seen from the 4-18. the 17d car was impressive though, albeit a very old car. :)

had mclaren raced the mp4-18, maybe they could have made a better/improved 4-19 the following year.

The MP4-18 was not the most ugly car, but it was the biggest mistake. And a expensive mistake. Lots of money, resources and hours went into this car that never drove outside a testcircuit. Had they put all their engergy in improving the MP4-17D, they might have won the championship that year. So I think that as a car, the MP4-18 is the biggest mistake

The current 2010 Mercedes W01 ain't really something to brag about ! Especially when you consider that its immediate ancestor won the titles.

It's not that fast as ist's little brother from last year. Still I find it not an ugly car.

The problem is you can't give the W01 a proper analysis. Nico Rosberg was only ever slightly quicker than Kazuki Nakajima, but now he's beating Schumi with ease. What would Hamilton, Kubica et al be able to do in it?
