During the last week's young tests in AD the Renault F1 Team was officialy listed as the Lotus Renault Team

I'm a bit confused here with this whole Lotus thing?

So as it stands, Renualt will pull out, and become Lotus Renualt Team?
And Lotus Cosworth will become Team Lotus Renualt?

So what, we're going to have two Lotus teams?

Renault already own 25% of Renault F1 Team, Genii Capital the rest. Group Lotus will join as a sponsor, probably not as a stakeholder.

No, that won't happen.

Group Lotus look set to sponsor Renault, as much as Vodafone sponsor McLaren for example. But the issue is indeed with the name. Therefore the current Lotus Racing - which will run a black & gold livery - may rename themselves to 1Malaysia or Fernandes Racing or whatever. It's an odd situation but it's effectively Group Lotus cashing in on Lotus Racing's "success" as Mike Gascoyne has said he can't work out why Group Lotus don't want to collaborate with Lotus Racing.

It's a pity to see the Lotus name already go. Had so many hopes to see a proper returned Lotus team...
