If Renault becomes Lotus, is it the real Lotus car company from the U.K. or is it the "Lotus" as in the Proton car group from Malaysia?

so then does Proton keep the current Lotus team as well, or do they become an independent effort?

Proton are nothing to do with the current Lotus Racing outfit. That team is Tony Fernandes' '1Malaysia' who had the blessing of the Chapmans to use the Lotus name and acquired the rights to use 'Team Lotus' from 2011.

Quick question...
Will those tall and narrow rear wings remain in that size for next year as well? I'm presuming that with the diffuser specs changing, it might effect that horribly thing at the rear?
