Alex Rossi is the only driver I raced against :) It's him in my avatar. I had the chance to drive "iRacing" against him. I was sitting in the "car" next to him.
He smashed me, ergo he is good enough for F1 :O

Money problems (Ie, not paid) has halted construction at Austin.

i hope that FIA will let other architects-instead of Hermann Tilke- to design new jersey street circuit and also the 2014 Russian Grand Prix circuit, not just because we are bored by watching cars traveling at 320 kph in unnecessary long straights and then breaking heavily- which is a characteristic of all circuits dsigned by the German architect_, also beacause we want to see some other kind of creativity in designing F1 tracks, in recent years tracks are devided into Tilke and non-Tike layouts.9 of 20 tracks in 2012 are designed by him.

The USA has been a jinx in F1. Whenever F1 plans to goto the US the plans are never implemented & due to some reason or the other they pull out. I think it would be much better if all these investors invest in the old classic track in the US like Watkins Glen or Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This will cost them less then building a new track & the returns will be quite decent. It will also be a treat for the Fans to see the Young Guns with the new Machinery on a track where the legends have raced earlier.

Makes you wonder if the whole reason to announce Austin and get it rolling was really to push New Jersey over the edge to sign up with that one being the real intention to race on and Bernie taking a gamble that Texas would drop out through lack of money.

Disappointing if Austin falls through- I was actually looking forward to it.

Perhaps New Jersey was announced as a result of Bernie being aware of the issues with Austin?

@alanbaldwinf1: Just spoke to Mr E about Austin. Pay up by Brazil or forget it, is the nub of it. Has run out of patience.

here are the layouts of New Jersey track planned for 2013 and also Russian Grand Prix circuit in Sochi planned for 2014, both of them designed by Hermann Tilke, who seems to be the only architect in the world who can design racing tracks
