Formula One - Possible future drivers!

Post by phil1993 » 11 May 2010, 17:52

A thread for the young talents currently throwing cars around in junior formulae. Might be interesting to see which of them enter the sport and go on to dominate or whether they will go into obscurity.

Jules Bianchi
Oliver Turvey
Sam Bird
Max Chilton
Charles Pic
Fabio Leimer
Jean-Eric Vergne

I notice three of them are French! Some wishful thinking here, but I wouldn't mind one of them becoming the next Alain Prost (and I'd settle for the next Jean Alesi). We'll see how their 2010 campaigns go...

There's certainly a brighter future for French motorsport, and I'm certain that at least 2 of these will be stars of the future. I'd also add Daniel Ricciardo to this list.

Yeah, i'll just look for Dutch drivers :O
Max Verstappen (son of Jos) is doing great in every class he's driving in. He's too fast for kids of his own age, so he's already racing against older kids. He's 12 btw.

And you've all heard of Nyck de Vries, he's also doing absolutely great in every class he competes in: http://www2.nyckdevries.nl/

Yes, I agree with you.
He is fast and consistent, one for the foreseable future for Red Bull.

There isn't a French GP at the moment (a terrible shame), but with these up and coming French drivers France may soon have an F1 star (which they haven't had since the Prost days). And that may be the spark for the return of a French GP (I hope).

Magny Cours was a good place for a race, they just needed to fix the last three corners into something that wasn't utter s***.
