Greatest F1 Drivers Ever
Greatest F1 Drivers Ever
I don't think this has been done before, so here goes .
I am just wondering what are peoples opinion about who was or is F1 Greatest driver ever. I have a poll, but I can add to it so feel free to suggest others.
What do you think? We need your comments aswell
I'll start, I voted for Senna, becuase the guy was simply amazing, he broke records and he could have broken many more if he wasn't tragically taken away from us.

oh boy... how many times are we going to see this servey now that schumi is retired!
...statistically we all know who it is!
and its obvious that most of the voting will be biased anyway...

great point-maybe senna would have stayed only for a couple more years then try other racing like le mans or indy?Dark_Fisico wrote:I don't think the stats show anything... I agree with you two, Senna could have raised the bar much much higher for the records, some of which Schumi could have never broken, that he did.formulaonemadman wrote:great point-maybe senna would have stayed only for a couple more years then try other racing like le mans or indy?Dark_Fisico wrote:I don't think the stats show anything... Well, in 1994, Senna went to a great Williams and seing that Hill and JV have manages to win a season each, I think he would have been capable of winning those and maybe more.erol börek wrote:Schumi beat Senna in 92 season, and in 94 he was ahead of Senna in the championship before that awful accident... I think somehow Schumi would break all that records even Senna was not dead ...
DO not forget that Schumi did almost 19 years in F1, while Senna did only 10 (I'm not sure on this), and in Schumi's times, there were more races than in the Senna era in 1 season, and also, Senna had the competition from Prost and Mansell, while the only person that could compete with Schumi was Hakkinnen.
I'm not saying Schumi is not good, far from it, but I think Schumi would have less records under his name if Senna was longer in F1.
I choose Fangio because this kind of drivers had drived amazing cars in hard circuits without todays hight tech , then in this times, the drivers were more importants in the race, todays the races are too much perfects... even after the race the drivers and cars are clean and shining but yesterday's drivers finished alwas for example with a dirty face etc etc...
