Because F1 isn't all about the driver its about the cars aswell... Just think if Schumi and Alonso changed their engines every race, we wouldn't of had such a brilliant season, and Alonso wouldn't have stopped in Italia and Schumi wouldn' have stopped in Japan...

I know its not fair on the driver, seeing the Engines are rathe fragile in a second race, but its not fair on other drivers either if their engines are going two in a row like they are meant to be... It would just be so much easier to stop the two race engine rule... Changing an engine before it finishes 2 races is against the rules and therefore needs to be punished as such...

Its not fair, but lifes not fair...

Nope, they shouldnÂ´t be penalized. This is just another silly rule made by FIA,
like changes in points system(remember 2003: Kimi Raikkonen almost nicked the title from Michael Schumacher despite winning ONE race to Michaelâ€™s SIX), tires to be marked, etc... [-X

well, I think "no, he should replace the engine and qualify normally" because, years ago, Kimi didn't can win 2005, because his engine... a lot of fridays, he broke it.. and now.. other pilots can win if broke it.. it's not fair I think...

But what about the constructors championship???

Surely if the rule gets changed and some people keep their engine but others decide to stick a new one in and say there was a problem with it, its not fair on the other Constructors... I can see that its not fair on the drivers to be penalised, but surely if the engine has problems the constructor doesn't deserve points given to them...

i think this rule its stupid, just like it was the no tire change during race, instead of that i think it would be better a no traction control rule, that way weÂ´ll know of what is done every driver
