It strange : the guy who has built the Ferrari dream team (Todt, Byrne, Brawn, Schumi) has also destroyed this dream team (he refused to take again Ross Brawn, he put Domenicalli to replace Todt, and he has pushed Michael out).

Now Michael's fan(boy)s have something to shout about again, it's gonna be Kimi's fan(boy)s left out in the cold. Tough luck lads and lasses.

Ferrari.com wrote: Maranello, 23 December 2009 – Ferrari fans all over the world received the news today of Schumacher having signed a contract with Mercedes GP and flooded the Ferrari website requesting an opinion regarding the matter. “What we have to say regarding Schumacher has been said by Chairman Montezemolo last week on the occasion of the traditional well-wishing with the Italian and international press,” a Scuderia spokesman said. “We’re giving our warm wishes to Michael: as of today he is our competitor and we’ll give it our all to beat him as we do with all the others.”
Good Luck with that Massa :p

You'd better say fangirls :p

How Michael Schumacher's comeback will affect the championship and Formula 1 overall is quite intriguing, not for just MS fans'n lovers but the whole F1 community. It's not just fun and games for either MS or Brawn as the contract will be 3-year long. That suggests that Schumacher will eye at least one title and further means that he accepts he could well have one or two bad years in newly-founded Mercedes team. We just don't know what will happen after Honda's huge financial effort vanished. Will Mercedes throw as much money as Honda pour? According to their statements, they won't, but teams like McLaren and Ferrari would still expend huge amount of money (Ferrari have just unveiled a new simulator after 2 years-long project) before going back to expenditure levels of 90's. Therefore, Mercedes should find a balance between a superior car BGP 001 and MGP 001.

They have just signed a €30M per-year deal with Petronas and they will receive the prize money at €50M levels. So, they will have €80M in their pocket already. Adding the Mercedes budget to this figure, the team should be operated under €150M budget which would be enough for 2010. In 2011, teams will have to downsize by shedding people to around 250 and have to operate with budgets of 90's, Mercedes may be in secure position by 2011 and so on. This shows why this Brawn takeover deal will be proved to be very profitable for Mercedes and of course for Michael Schumacher in future. We could well see him returning to his winning ways and Mercedes could become the third big team over the years. We'll see.

By the way, a little reminder from an old-friend Barichello or sour grapes if you like: "Experience is all that matters in F1 now..the team needed me last year and needs Schumi now.I hope for a great fight but a clean one as well."

Remember that the BGP001 was designed around a Honda engine and a Mercedes one was bolted in just 3-4 weeks before Australia. The MGP001 has been designed around a Mercedes engine which should bring them about half a second...

Thanks Schumi!

He came to save F1 from destruction. It is no longer any real racing driver in F1, when Kimi left. Now there is one, and He is going to beat Button,Hamilton,Alonso, Massa(lol), Vettel etc.
