That would be a smart choice from them. Would be nice to see Toshiba raping the field thoughphil1993 wrote:I think Sauber are running light to get sponsors. I don't think they're doing a Brawn... they won't be able to keep up with development either.

today's formula 1 cars look more like tamiya cars
Re: 2010 Winter Testing
Don't forget - BMW developed the car until the bitter end, so I suppose that might help Sauber a bit. Needless to say they're not going to be a top-team by any means, but I don't think they're completely trying to bluff.phil1993 wrote:I think Sauber are running light to get sponsors. Re: 2010 Winter Testing
Do we know if Massa did any long runs? Or were all his times set in short (light) stints?
Re: 2010 Winter Testing
Yeah, I think Sauber will be competing for some decent points at the start of the season providing the drivers are up to it (the lineup looks a bit flimsy, I'd be more confident with Heidfeld in there myself) but then they'll probably fade as Peter Sauber said the budget is small and they'll struggle to develop.F1~Michi wrote:Don't forget - BMW developed the car until the bitter end, so I suppose that might help Sauber a bit. It's sensors.cformula1 wrote:Anyone know what that thing on the Ferrari near the T-bar is?
It's quite ugly and I hope it's not an aerodynamic development being tested.
A bit like an aircraft pitot tube.
They can measure the wind speed and direction and the car speed out of the flow of the disturbed air that the car is in or is generating.
Re: 2010 Winter Testing
Ferrari are looking impressive, but they could be on light fuel loads.
