Johnny Herbert will be a pundit for Sky for at least the next five races. I don’t know about what anyone else thinks but I’ve found him much better to watch than Damon Hill, we might also be getting better post-race analysis seeing as Johnny has been in the stewards room a few times now and he’ll bring that experience to the TV.

Yeah, Natalie is hot, but Ted knows nothing Kimi has nothing against testing and he would have gone to Mugello, but Lotus said no. Are there going to be more Johnny Herbert and vanishing man-bag

Fully agree. Having seen him and Hill in the role of pundit, Herbert just does a better job. Nothing against Damon, but I'm in danger of nodding off when he speaks.

Eurosport holds the German television rights to GP3 & FR 3.5 but they won't show anything this weekend.

There is going to be huge pressure on Sky Sports Formula One presenter Simon Lazenby following his totally inappropriate comment at the Monaco Grand Prix when he said: ‘Some twisting and dangerous roads above us. Princess Grace knows all about them.’ The Princess died in a car crash in 1982.

Lazenby, nicknamed Fake Jake by F1 aficionados because he’s not as good as BBC counterpart Jake Humphrey, apologised on air and was later reprimanded by his bosses.

But given the fuss rights-holders Sky made after Kevin Pietersen’s disparaging tweet about cricket pundit Nick Knight, and Richard Keys and Andy Gray departing for off-air sexist comments, the odds on Lazenby presenting Sky’s Grand Prix races next season are slim.

Also, apparently Jake wanted to interview Simon at the start of the forum and Sky were pissed off when the BBC jumped them at the Red Bull floater-home

Sky Italia has has been awarded the live rights to Formula 1 in Italy starting in 2013. 11 races will be exclusive, 9 on free-to-air TV. I dislike this trend...

A shame F1 Digital failed when you think about it. They had some awesome camera shots.

F1 Digital was a great concept with all the camera options and interactive elements (plus Practice broadcasts before they were the norm) but it was about £12 a race IIRC (ten years ago, would be more now). Would have to be a real die hard fan to pay that every race when they were all available on free to air.

It would be interesting to compare, I don't think Sky's 'Race Control' and all the interactive options are that different to what F1 Digital offered. I think F1 Digital offered onboard options for every driver, Sky only a few. But F1 Digital started things off, perhaps ahead of its time and with a flawed business plan.

Wasn't there some controversy? I think in Hungary 2001 when Schumacher won his fourth title. Only F1 Digital cameras were allowed up close watching him celebrate, all the other broadcasters only had distant shots from behind the fence.
