2010 F1 Calendar
Re: 2010 F1 Calendar
Just a thought...
Also our second round match might clash with the Valencia race, but that's irrelevant as Valencia's a bore. Korea better have made a decent track as well.

Cons: Abu Dhabi last, long gaps between a few of the races, Bahrain kicks the season off

2010 Formula 1 calendar: 14 March Bahrain 28 March Australia 4 April Malaysia 18 April China 9 May Spain 16 May Monaco 30 May Turkey 13 June Canada 27 June Europe (Valencia) 11 July Great Britain 25 July Germany 1 August Hungary 29 August Belgium 12 September Italy 26 September Singapore 10 October Japan 24 October Korea* 7 November Brazil 14 November Abu Dhabi
pros (on Phil's statement): i agree with Phil's pros and also regarding Abu Dhabi being the last race and Bahrain being the first race, as they can never replace Brazil and Australia as the last and first races respectively.
cons (on Phil's statement): only 2 races have a long gap, so it is not too bad (though the 1 month break might drag )
Re: 2010 F1 Calendar
I really miss some of the "old" tracks like Imola and the Nürburgring....such great tracks, especially Nürburgring is much more exciting than Hockenheim in my opinion.
Instead were getting a track in South Korea
Is the Asian and Southeast-Asian area not already well represented by Malaysia, Singapore, China and Japan?
Don't get me wrong, this isn't meant to be racist or sth. , but I think F1 should hold more races in Europe again....what about France for example? Magny-Cours is also a great track.

Re: 2010 F1 Calendar
F1 should take note of the GT championship calendar
4/4 ARE Yas Marina
2/5 GBR Silverstone
23/5 CZE Brno
4/7 FRA* Paul Ricard
1/8 BEL Spa-Francorchamps
29/8 DEU Nürburgring
19/9 PRT Portimao
7/11 ZAF Durban
28/11 BRA Interlagos
5/12 ARG San Luis
Except from Brno, all the above should be on the F1 Calendar.
With 1Malaysia owning Lotus, we should hopefully get more spectators at Sepang

I reckon F1 needs to focus on tracks that provide action and crowds, and not tracks that have the most $$$$$$$$

I hope the Turkish Grand Prix ceases to exist after 2010. You can't justify a race when so few fans attend.
