Felipe Massa Injury - Fisichella to race to the end of 2009
Re: Felipe Massa Injury - Fisichella to race to the end of 2009
poor luca......same also for fisi. ferrari test drivers never have any luck whatsoever!
when schumacher broke his leg in 1999, alas! test drivers were bypassed by mika salo. 2009, massa had this accident. badoer had his shot, but the ferrari car sucked. as well as an in-season test ban.

No see from Ferrari's ,Force India's and Fisi's point of view.Nbuulb wrote:I think Fisichella isn't the best choice. He's experienced, but rarely got remarkable results in his career.
Choosing a young and quick driver like Kubica would have been better, or even a driver with no contract, like Bourdais..
* Kubica has more serious contract with BMW at least till the end of 2009.
* Ferrari wants seat to be preserved and protected for Felipe Massa. They don't want permanent driver.
* Fisi retirement is very near. Job @ Ferrari
Outside Italy, i believe Fisichella is likable personality and not hated like other driver. This time around, Italians will crazily cheer for himNbuulb wrote:And no, most Italians don't like Fisichella very much... I'm one of those!blizzard wrote:The best solution for all parties. i wonder how much money it cost him to switch teams... or did Ferrari donate to Force India's cause in return they provide a driver
Re: Felipe Massa Injury - Fisichella to race to the end of 2009
I think Ferrari didn't ask for the 2008 engine money in return

Fisico went to Maranello today to meet the mechanics and talk about Monza. Maybe it's true...Tom Vandenhove wrote:

Just heard the news on the radio. I think Fisi is a good choice, I'm happy for him.
I never considered him what is called a "top driver" as one can see during his time as team-mate of Alonso; never really had the speed to challenge him, but then we know presumably how No.2-drivers at Renault are treated...
However his performance in Spa impressed me and it shows that he's not a "bad" driver either, so why not fulfilling his dream to drive for Ferrari?
Let's see how he performs with Kimi as a teammate, only one thing is pretty sure: he'll do better than Badoer I suppose (no offence!)
BTW: I like it how the "old guys" in F1 get some decent results again this year and show the paddock that they haven't lost it.....Webber's first win, Barrichello's first win in 5 years, Fisi's pole and almost-win. Great!
