Do the 2 sets of paddles for shifting allow the driver to change up and down with only 1 hand on either side of the wheel like if he was making an adjustment with his other hand or something like that?

I suspect to be that way ( the way it is shown on the image ) because i was observing ( via on board videos ) Button and Barrichello shifting down using the left hand's "middle" finger and shifting up using the right hand's "pointing" finger . I may be mistaken though but i think i also saw Button occasionally to use his left hand to shift up .
Alternatively the Brawn 4 paddle system could be similar to the Mc Laren's 4 paddle system , used to move thru different engine maps while shifting the gears up and down .

Thanks. I guess all the teams build different functionalities into their steering wheels depending on driver preference.bar555 wrote:I suspect to be that way ( the way it is shown on the image ) because i was observing ( via on board videos ) Button and Barrichello shifting down using the left hand's "middle" finger and shifting up using the right hand's "pointing" finger .
