OK- if Kyle does go there (which I highly doubt- it is more logical for him to stay in NASCAR) I reckon he will be more Michael Andretti than Mario Andretti.

Bad news for the British GP. Radio 5 is quoting London bank sources as saying Donington Park's bond issue has failed.

For the best really, would love to see Donnington host the British GP one day though.

I think near to 100,000 turned up to the British GP. Bernie would be mental to scrap the British GP

I would have loved to have the GP at Donington because it's only a stone's throw away, but I hope it's back at Silverstone now that it's not being held at Donny.

JA: Daily Mail reporting a Vodafone source saying they wouldn't mind having Button at McLaren. Strengthens Jenson's negotiating hand..

EDIT: I found the story, seems pretty week and its from the DM

Quote:
Jenson Button could join Lewis Hamilton, the man he replaced as Formula One world champion, in an all-British dream team at McLaren next season.

It is understood McLaren and their title sponsors Vodafone, who contribute £50million a year, would welcome the tantalising line-up.

Although Vodafone were reluctant to comment publicly, a key source close to the company said: ‘Any team would like to have two world champions in their ranks.’
Button, 29, has yet to sign a new deal with Brawn GP, the team with which he won the world championship on Sunday. It is believed he would be open to offers from a rival of McLaren’s stature.

Button’s talks with Brawn have reached an impasse, with the team dragging their heels over matching his £6m-plus pay demands.

McLaren could easily beat that to pair Button with Hamilton, who is on £15m a year.

Asked directly if there had been talks between McLaren and Button’s representatives, McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh said: ‘We’ve talked to a number of drivers. It wouldn’t be appropriate to say more than that. We’ll hire the two best drivers available to us as we always have.’

McLaren know that Button, who was unavailable for comment, is aware Brawn’s success could prove a one-off at an under-resourced team reportedly destabilised by low morale among the staff.

Toyota are also interested in Button, but he is unlikely to go there. Should Button not join McLaren, they remain keen to sign Ferrari’s outgoing Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen.
