Renault cancel upcoming Barcelona test
Renault is having a difficult time with its latest contender, the R29. After suffering a lack of running due to bad weather in their first test, the current Jerez test is hardly better, as the car is running the least laps of all teams.

On top of that, the car is the slowest 2009 car so far. Rumours are that Piquet is already getting frustrated by the lack of running he has had with the car. He is however reported to be optimistic about the car's potential despite minor gremlins that currently prevent much running.

Instead of going to Barcelona next week, the team is planning on taking the time to prepare improvements to the car due to be ready for a later test, again at Jerez. One week after it is likely that the R29 will be tested again at Portimao to better understand the car ahead of the Australian season opener at Melbourne Park.

BMW, Ferrari and Toyota travel to Bahrain because of the guaranteed good weather, then lose almost a whole day because of a sandstorm lol

Why is Mclaren still driving with the old rear wing?
ARen't they ready, or are they "hiding" something?

Sandstorms stops Bahrain test again

12 February 2009

The Formula One test session in Bahrain has been stopped again due to a sandstorm. The teams were already interrupted on Wednesday but out of the four days that were scheduled to test in Bahrain there is now a second full day of testing being washed away with sand.

In the morning Kimi Raikkonen, Robert Kubica and Jarno Trulli did complete their installation laps but soon the visibility on track got worse and the session was red flagged.

The teams hope to see better conditions on Friday.

From f1today.nl

This afternoon there will be consultation between the teams and the management of the Bahrain International Circuit. The teams will next weekend, Saturday 14 and Sunday, February 15, testing on the circuit for the days to catch up.

Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, BMW Sauber’s Robert Kubica and Toyota’s Jarno Trulli did manage to complete installation laps in the morning, but as visibility worsened, the three drivers were forced to return to their garages.
