The thing is that they only have 4 engines for winter testing and each of them should be able to last approximately 2500 kilometers so they can't really afford any engine breaks. Anyway, TS just reported that Hamilton's engine was shut down but it was uncertain what had happened. Now they say that it was just a broken sensor so the engine is still fine.

Toyota also had a problem which looked like an engine failure but they claim it was just an oil leak that caused the fire. It's not certain how much damage the engine got from it.

Felipe's first tests on Mugello circuit

Circuit: Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello - 5.245 km
Driver: Felipe Massa
Car: Ferrari F60
Weather: air temperature 8/11 °C, track temperature 7/14 °C. Overcast with occasional rain in the morning, permanently damp track.

Third day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working again today at the Mugello International Circuit. Today, it was Felipe Massa's turn to take to the track, continuing with development work on the new Ferrari F60, begun by Kimi Raikkonen over the past couple of days.

The weather was slightly better than on previous days, but the track remained damp throughout, preventing the use of slick tyres. In total, Felipe completed 104 laps, the quickest in a time of 1.33.353.

Testing continues here tomorrow, again with Felipe Massa on track.

yeah, but still it feels good if you hold the track record for any circuit.
