Is Nico Rosberg ready for Mercedes?

Post by James10171 » 21 Dec 2009, 07:32

Do you guys really think rosberg is up for the challenge at Mercedes GP, after all Mercedes GP are the former Brawn team and have a good technical car underneath them, especially with schumi linked to mercedes,

would rosberg have the potential to beat a 7 time wdc and go on to win the 2010 title>?>

This going to be great chance for rosberg to prove his worthiness. Its going to be difficult ...may it be now or never situation. Can he beat schumacher? ..basically depends how schumi makes a comeback.

Well, I think he really was ready for this step; he had a very good last year, with unlucky no podiums

Rosberg waited too long to make a switch, and I think it's too late now. We'll see him on the podium, but not enough. Missed change, mr. Rosberg jr.

Its sure Rosberg is ready for Mercedes. The problem is that he will surely makes some stupid errors in his 1st year (like Vettel in Torro Rosso).

So, its a very good thing for Rosberg that Schumi will be his team mate (remember that Massa has learned many things with schumi in 2006)

But it could be a bad thing for Nico too, if Schumi beats him by a significant margin- it may reduce Nico's morale and thus he'd struggle for the rest of his career.

Rosberg has been racing in F1 for 3 years, he had 10 years ahead of him. Saying he moved too late I disagree with, seeing as I doubt he could have moved anyway and this was his best, most consistent season.

I seriously doubt that. Rosberg will be a competitive team-mate to say the least.

He's more than capable enough. He's been making fewer and fewer mistakes over the years, and he's put in some stunning drives despite his uncompetitive (and sometimes unreliable) car. He's shown remarkable consistency in 2009, seldom failing to score points when an opportunity arose.

Put him at the wheel of a fast car and I think he'll be a championship contender. He may be a bit to nice to win it, but I think he'll put up a good fight. That is obviously unless the team blatantly favours his teammate, which isn't unheard of...
