Will Ferrari Support Massa ?

Post by f1freak » 07 Sep 2008, 17:05

Hi Guys,

Just after a dramatic Belgian GP it has proved that the championship is still open. The contenders are Hamilton,Massa & my favourite Kimi.As bad luck has struck kimi since the Monaco GP this being the second time victory was snatched by lady luck. With 5 Races to go- 1 new track & a 17 point deficit to Massa & 19 to Lewis do you think Ferrari will put Kimi in a supporting role for Massa ? Come on Guys post ur comments :

My view is that they should not.

If they want to win WDC they should but still standby for next race would be good.

I don't know what Ferrari will be thinking out of this result.

but because I keep saying that McLarens mistake not to support one driver last year cost them the drivers championship.. I will have to say.. Yes the should

at least I still get to carry the Finnish flag at Monza.. maybe I'll let my wife carry the brazilian

Now Kimi is 19 points (!!!!!!!!!) behind championship leader Hamilton (haha) They don't have a choice, then to get behind Massa, as Phil said, the FIA are behind Massa. But I think that today the FIA decided who will be the 2008 World Champ. Don't yout think

yep. the FIA tried it with Michael in 2006 but failed. now theres only 8pt gap they'll try it with felipe. its the money the fia get from ferrari is huge. wherever you go there are ferrari products - in Santander last week there was a shop with a kimi pencilcase, bag, pen etc and on tv it was the bridgestone ad with ferrari.the only McLaren things was in a Vodafone shop with Alonso (bit old) and on tv advertising the bank 'Santander' with Kovys car

kimi is a WC, and f1 drivers have a LOT of pride, so i'm sure that they will start to help more massa, but not officialy, cause they have to keep kimi with a good moral in the press, because this year was really hard to him so ferrari will simply say, "oh they both have matemathical possibilities" but they will keep helpping massa and not assuming till they win the championship

if kimi can win a couple of races and catch up...boy that would definitely be a problem for ferrari. just like @ mclaren last year (only, there are no squabbles @ ferrari)

Räikkönen help he Massa? "We'll see what happens"

Post by dima_schumi » 15 Sep 2008, 11:44

Kimi Räikkönen admits he is not sure if it will help his teammate Felipe Massa in the remaining races.

The Finnish has scored no points in the last three races and he concedes twenty-one units to Lewis Hamilton, leader of the championship, only four races of the end of the season.

His teammate Felipe Massa has only one point behind Lewis Hamilton. However, Kimi Räikkönen do not know if it will help in future races.

"I do not know. We'll see what happens, "said Kimi Räikkönen to a group of journalists after the Monza race.

"This is not good, but we continue to try and, with luck, we can have good races at the end of the year and it would be a nice thing. It was not so easy lately, so this is what we are aiming. ".
