After hamitons 2 minutes late 5000 euros, alonso's crossing a paint line on friday 10,000 euros, david coulthards 2200 euros for speeding in the pitlane (friday) and finally ferraris 10,000 euros for the pitlane exit...

who decides the amount?
where does the money go?
Did the FIA need money this weekend?
is it taxed?

Whats the worst fine the FIA have given out in your opinion?

I think that they just fine because there isn't any other kind of punishment that would encourage the drivers not to do the offending action again. Not that the drivers couldn't afford to pay 10000 euros from their multimillion salaries, but nobody wants to lose money. If it was just a warning, nobody would care and if it was a penalty concerning the race for such a small "crime", there would be lots of complaints.

I think the fine for alonso is approximately what he gets in 3 hours of work...or something like that, so they don't care much about it, I think

I hope these fines don't go into either Max or Bernie's pockets.I don't believe all the money from these fines goes into things like the FIA's road safety campaigns,I've never seen an FIA safety campaign.Whether these fines are right is debateable,I think some of these fines are out of proportion for things like minor pit lane speeding in practice, being a couple of minuted late for press conferences etc. Also I don't like these fines as I have no confidence in the Fia's judgement. They constantly get judgements wrong (Some of these blocking penalties in qualifying are ridiculous) and are often biased to teams they like (Ferrari).

Max doesn't receive a salary as head of the FIA. But I wish it just wasn't fines. I wish that those who committed the foul have to do a bit of community service like speaking about highway safety or something like that...
