Hello Guys, a question for you...

What do you think of the current race lengths (just over 300 km approx.) ? Are they too short, too long or just quite right in your views ?

Come on, don't be shy, let hear your opinions !!

good the way it is. the only one that isn't is monza, as the track is so quick the race is over in 75 minutes, compared to a normal 90 minutes. the 2 hour limit is also good

i think they itv should have more in-depth driver interviews after the race. one thing i like is that they go straight to the podium. in motogp, they amble around and hold the podium about half an hour after the race, and i cant be asked to watch.
its good how bbc have got f1 coverage back as they are gonna make it more available- on phones, tv, bbc i, internet, onboard, 2 commentary options etc.

I think it is a good balence but maybe they should mix it up making some longer races and some shorter ones.

i think 90 minutes per race is enough. If a race would be shorter it would be boring and if a race would be longer there would be many more car failures

i would say it's enough, most of the time it actually tends to get boring after 30 to 40 mins under normal race circumstances.

If you add more laps to increase the race length, you could end up with a Nascar type circuit like a oval, then the only difference between F1 and Nascar would be that F1 won't be a D shape oval.
Ej. Compare Barcelona circuit lenght of 2.938 miles/4.728 Km with Indianapolis cirtuit lenght of 2.5 miles/4.02335 (Indianapolis is one one the longest circuit)
So the length is right, and also the numbers of laps are perfect, less laps won't have pits stops strategy, more laps favor the car endurance and not the drivers skills.

GP Laps lenghts (Except Europe and Singapore)

Europe:
Belguim-Spa-Francorchamps 4.330 miles/6.968 Km.
British-Silverstone: 3.194 miles/5.140 km (GP course )
France-Magny-Cours: 2.741 miles/4.411 km
Germany-Hockenheim-Ring: 2.842 miles/4.573 km
Hungary-Hungaroring: 2.722 miles/4.381 km
Italy-Monza: 3.585 miles/5.770 km(GP course )
Monaco-Monte Carlo 2.075 miles/3.340 km
Spain-Catalunya: 2.875 miles/4.627 km (GP course )

Asia/Middle East::
Bahrain-Sakhir: 3.366 miles/5.417 km
China-Shanghai: 3.387 miles/5.451 km
Japan-Suzuka: 3.608 miles/5.807 km
Malaysia-Sepang 3.440 miles/5.536 km (GP course )
Singapore: 3.148miles /5.067 km
Turkey-Istanbul: 3.314 miles/5.333 km

America:
Brazil-Interlagos 2.678 miles/4.309 km
Canada-Gilles-Villeneuve: 2.747 miles/4.421 km

Australia:
Australia-Melbourne: 3.295 miles/5.303 km
