Ross Brawn

Post by Manny6 » 29 Mar 2008, 02:41

I feel Ross Brawn can make a change at Honda, but he will be lacking the final
touch, the feedback shumacher, or Alonzo and maybe some other test drivers
I have to say I don't see the same in Jenson, maybe rubens but how much more years
he has left in him.

what do u guys think

I agree with you, Jenson and Rubens do lack something that the top drivers have, I doubt they will be able to win a championship by 2010, maybe if they change drivers.

Ross seems to think that his arrival will make Honda successful but it's a team sport and 1 person won't make it happen...

Ross Brawn is definitely a great architect of a formula 1 car. Given the Honda's financial backing and their dream of making Jenson the World Champion. I wouldn't doubt their intentions.

Jense is not in the league of Micheal ... But u can't rule him out when compared with Alonso / Hamilton / Kimi. All these guys are good performers but they got the right car at the right time to show their skills. Jense could also be like them .. I too believed Jense couldn't have any impact .. But after seeing hungary gp 2006 .. i sort of feel he is capable of winning ...

If he is able to mount a challenge towards the championship .. that would be great !! Thats all i expect from Honda in 2009 / 10.

I can see your point about feedback, but I do hold high value for Jensen, and remember, Barrichello was with Brawn at ferrari for some time, so i think the car will become very good form over the next 2 seasons.

I think, Anthony Davidson would be a real good suit to the second Honda Race seat. He knows what hes doing, and is highly capable of good performances, and his test driver roles were damn solid whilst at BAR and Honda.

So i think theres a good improvement now on par with last year. But its nowhere near 2006 form.

So lets all hope we can get Jense up into some limelite!

I have strong feeling that his presence will make Honda a huge difference. I am closely watching the proceedings.

I think Jenson's so fed up of having underperforming cars, he'll do as much as he can to help. I can't help but feel sorry for him. I don't think he's absolutely amazing, but I reckon he's never been allowed to show his full potential.

As for Rubens, he's known Ross for a while, so I think he'll be up for playing a big role in Honda's improvements.

Well Honda are making good progress, Rubens is good for helping the team develop, but once they reach a stage where they could win races, he is not the man to do it. Not sure about Jenson, he is a good driver but probably not world championship material.

I think Honda first need to get a better material and some points or podiums before they can think about winning a race. Rubens is not as selfish as he has to be for winning a race and as donald29 I'm not sure about Button. There will be hard times for Honda the next years

Well, they have made progress for sure. Pity they did mistake in Australia with Rubens, he could have bring many points for the team there. :/
