I liked the Lotus of 85 and 86 with the black JPS paint. I looks very impressive in combination with Sennas yellow helmet.

Today F1 cars look like the cars of the 80s after a serious crash. I hate the wings on the front and on the sides.

I think that the F2003-GA was a very beautiful car... kind of a new design that year I believe. Ferrari with vodafone sponsors and Marlboro!!!! Very nice

While I do like a lot of the older cars as well, I guess I really like the newer ones the best. They just look so purpose-built and so finely and carefully designed, with each aero-part tailor made to all work in perfect harmony. I especially like the McLarens and BMW's.

I agree that less aero-parts will be better for the sport though, and I look forward to seeing how next year cars will be.

Some older cars look too fat to me, although the 1991 Ferrari and the 1989 McLaren are very cool indeed. But I like the first of the thinner generation of cars:

Williams FW-21

Prost AP03 (slow but beautiful)

Add to that any other thin bodied Prost, and most thin bodied Saubers, especially the 2002 Sauber.
I cannot decide between them though. probably the FW-21
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

I think it was during the formation lap that they went off... It was wet. I think it is Imola btw.

Hope it helped :)
I was thinking it was the Nurburgring from the picture, but you're spot on - take a look at the link.
