Which TV-channel do you watch for Formula 1 ?
Re: Which TV-channel do you watch for Formula 1 ?
Hey, F1 is free in Bulgaria too - on the national television channel bTV - it's a FOX subsidiary.
It used to be paid on Digital satellite TV, but there were not many enthusiast to pay it - just for commentary and live picture - no extras like in Premier - box, on-board, etc.

I think speed is the best around (it's also the only choice in the US). They keep up the interesting chatter when the races slow down and you can't beat 60+ years of combined F1 racing, mechanic and commentator experience between Hobbs, Mattchet, and Varsha. They also show full practice and quali.

MTV3 or MTV3 MAX. MAX shows full coverage of the races in live, but regular MTV3 has the best finnish F1-commentators: Matti Kyllönen and Erkki Mustakari.
"F1 won't change me" -Jenson Button, just weeks before dumping his girlfriend of five years and buying a Ferrari

I live in Germany and usually watch the races at RTL. I'm confident with it. They don't have the best commentators, my signature guy Heiko Waßer and former unsuccessful F1 driver Christian Danner, but the two guys doing the pre stuff are very good. Florian König is a very competent journalist and Niki Lauda's comments are always straight forward. Their pit-lane reporter Kai Ebel is a bit annoying, though.
Sometimes I also watch Swiss TV, when I have the chance to watch it. They have the best commentator I have listened to because he is very good although he has to commentate alone, with Peter Sauber only sometimes as a co-commentator. Usually Peter Sauber is with the BMW team and on the phone for SF2. He can always give reasons for mistakes at BMW stops or so. Michael Stäuble commentates very clearly. For example, in the Brazilian GP 2007 he critized Lewis Hamilton very much for his aggressive overtaking style in that race.

Which Swiss TV? If you are speaking about TSI, their commentator is very boring and slow.simon91 wrote:I live in Germany and usually watch the races at RTL. I'm confident with it. I watch on Speed and TSN. It's great because i rarely miss the race due to commercials by switching back and forth.

Speeds coverage is fantastic and the hosts are great... I wish it was in HD though.

I watch F1 on a channel called TV2 here in Denmark. they show the race on TV2 and quali, practice on a channel called TV2 sport. TV2 sport costs money (cable tv/satelite) but it is worth it since they show all the pratice sessions.
They don't show the press conferences always, but they mostly do. The commentators are ok aswell.
Can't wait for the first free pratice to start. i'm going to watch it live! First live session of F1 this season.

Globo TV here in Brazil. They have the same comentators since the early 80's, so I'm quite used to it.
I also watch the friday practice sessions on SporTV, which is a paid TV channel, since last year.
