isnt it the steering arm. its the chunkiest suspension component which comes out of the front of the car.

the anti-roll bar should be somewhere in there as well!
Thankyou Schumi you will always have a place in our hearts!
Michael Schumacher- 7 volte Campione del mondo!

The "optimess" thing, is an optical ride height sensor. Similar to the one on your digital camera, that determines focusing distance for your autofocus.
There is a small hole in the bottom of the nosecone, through wich it can calculate the ride height.
These sensors, are not run during the race weekend. They as far as I have seen, only appear during test sessions.

Code: Select all

* F1TECHNICAL.COM -- Kimi Raikkonen said: "I see no
reason to leave this team. I have two years remaining
on my contract, but in any case I believe that, whatever
happens, this will be my last team.

"When I end my contract with Ferrari I will be 30 years
old, and it will be the time to decide whether to keep
going or not."
How I'd wish not Ferrari extend his contract and see him retiring
at 30. Or he'll change his mind? Maybe... He doesn't know anything
else to do than driving. This hint is for the Ferrari fans, probably
he thinks this way he'll become much likable to them with his
exaggerated loyalty.

Kimi is definitely proven himself time and time again. He never gives up and even when he was at McLaren (during their forever-exploding car time) he managed to do quite well.
I hope to see Him again Driving a Mclaren :

Kimi recently said that he would like to have kids, but not as long as he is driving in F1, because he wouldn't have the time to concentrate on his family.

Honda present new RA108
The official presentation of the Honda Racing F1 Team’s 2008 challenger took place today at the team’s operational headquarters in Brackley, UK. The launch followed an initial shakedown period with the all-new RA108 in Valencia last week, in which the team’s race drivers put evaluation mileage on the car.

Hmm, funny to present the car after they have already tested a full week with it. Then again, Renault hasn't presented their car yet either. ''hmm''

Yeah, Button: "New car is worse than RA107"
After get his first tast of the new Honda RA108, Jenson Button has said that new car is not a big improvement respect last year one: "car doesn't have any grip, traction is very poor at the exit of the slow corners and at high speed ones it feels strange. We need to change alot of it, they said me the new parts will come at the next test, but i'm unsure that will make enough difference to be atleast at the top of the midfield".

i think Aguri will beat them again :p
