Hamilton admited that the gearbox problem was his mistake. &doh
His finger slipped and accidentaly pressed the button used for the starting sequence. (Source: F1-Live).
I Hope this is not true...otherwise this is pathetic, embarrassing, ... ::oops:;

I was looking here:
http://www.mclaren.com/features/technic ... _wheel.php

and the youtube video. Seem like Hamilton press some button on the top of his left hand. But, evident, I don't know what they do with this button. Driver are pushing button everytime, so maybe that's not an error.

Really I didn't believe that fist time I read it. But If Hamilton said that, why if it is not true?

@ joostlamers ..thats very off topic post! ..We all know his performance was outstanding.

Respect to hamilton ..he excepted his mistake(human error) :T:@
But i would like to add Mclaren electronic system seems isn't that great which didn't prevented that...Loophole :@:2
Or mclaren says it wasn't due hamilton pressing start button but due electronic or sensor failure.
As always 1 or more version of truths are available and I don't think their much to talk on the this issue :|

I don't know, and maybe, only they know it. As a said before in this topic:

"Really I didn't believe that fist time I read it. But If Hamilton said that, why if it is not true?"

Tell, that Pedro Martinez de la Rosa, talk to spanish TV after the race, and he said that was a temp failure, maybe for debris on the radiators.

Hamilton is blaming himself for it, and McLaren are blaming the team for it.

Very mature, reponsible people.
