"Ferrari are being portrayed as the most innocent team. I do not think that is the case," Hamilton told the BBC. "I do not like what Ferrari are putting our team through. I know my team, and we are being been unfairly treated. It would be a great feeling to win in Italy this weekend. Beating Ferrari on their home ground is going to be a huge blow to their team."

LH claims mclaren's being treated 'unfairly' this weekend, what exactly is he talkin aobut??

Well he's a McLaren driver he's bound to think he's being treated unfairly... The point is the evidence the FIA are looking at CAME FROM WITHIN THE MCLAREN TEAM!!! Its Alonso that has brought something new to this not Ferrari... McLaren are guilty the FIA have already found them guilty, Ferrari are the innocent team because it was their information that was stolen... Hamilton is just playing the team game again to make himself a martyr so everyone thinks poor little Hamilton and poor McLaren...

Hami is absolutely right!! Ferrari always acting like "mister nice-guy", but at the same time they are destroying the sport. What if Macca gets excluded from participation in 2008.. Then Ferrari will win every race, that's why they do all this, It's really not fair what they are doing, besides: Why would McLaren use parts of the Ferrari????

But thats the point that many Hamilton and McLaren fans forget... They've been found GUILTY of having Ferrari data THAT in its self is a banable offence, its McLarens pull on the sport that have stopped them being banned already... It doesn't MATTER if only one person or the whole team have seen it, being in possession of another teams data is wrong, and if one person in the team has done something that serious the team need to be punished else its just going to happen again... McLaren haven't even fired Coughlan yet atleast Ferrari did the sensible thing and fired Stephney and have their own law suite against him in Italy... You'd think McLaren would do something against Coughlan because HE'S the one that is digging McLarens grave here, Ferrari have all the right in the world to complain just like McLaren would if Ferrari had their documents...

If it were the other way round you'd have all the Ferrari fans saying the same thing, why would Ferrari use McLaren parts??? But how would you as a McLaren fan feel??? You'd want a punishment simple as...

Good to see Hamilton stretching out some good defense for his team but at same time it always going hurts his image!... Loud mouth ..real Hamilton is emerging out :p

I know Ferrari Team & supporters can digest his victory or loss!..their nothing like "huge blow" in that

Winning and losing are part of the game $peace

Hmm yeah right defending your team and saying the truth about what it would mean to beat a ferrari on it's home soil makes you a "cheap + pathetic = WHINER". there was no shame being beaten by kimmi in the ferrari at silverstone, its called racing and you will never win them all.Wow i reckon Burn out has all the brains in his family.

Whats that meant to mean :( ??? Is that an insult... I don't get what blocks are...

As a partial Ferrari supporter I am totally on Ferraris side, and seeing as this supposed 'evidence' is meant to be coming from the McLaren drivers I think Hamilton really needs to be careful with what he says about the rivals... Its apart of F1 Ferrari and McLaren squabbling (like Renault and Ferrari last year)... Sure Hamilton should defend his team, but his support is blind in what he is coming out with...

What?

Why in that case, when Ferrari engineers took Ferrari designs to Toyota, who willingly accepted them and made the TF 102 a virtual clone of the Ferrari, did Ferrari do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to Toyota by way of seeking damages or retribution through the FIA and instead used the Italian law courts to pursue a private prosecution of the traitorous personnel and not involve the FIA at all in any stage of the legal proceedings? That case was far more clear cut than this was.
Again it was Ferrari personnel offering Ferrari data - in this case one man to another in the hope of both being able to use it to gain positions at Honda. The fact that the other man is a McLaren employee makes all the difference. Now they can bring the FIA and use that against McLaren to get them excluded from the championship so they can once again win the title. That's all this is, Ferrari bending the FIA to their will in order to gain an advantage and discredit a competitor, at the very least to throw them off stride mid-season. Why else did they leave the Toyota case outside the FIA. Toyota are no competition - they were not fighting Toyota on the track back then so they left it to the legal system. McLaren are a threat so this whole fiasco is being used specifically to gain the red team another championship. The double standards are shocking. This isn't industrial espionage or theft - it's the stupidity of two people dragging the sport into disrepute and Ferrari are just greasing the wheels in search of an advantage. Stepney wasn't coerced, bribed or blackmailed into sending the dossier - he did it off his own back. Coughlan didn't want to use the data with McLaren's knowledge or else he'd have used Woking facilities to print out the document - assuming McLaren own a printer - but the trouble is once you've read a document or seen a diagram the information is in your head and can be used even if only subconsciously and that's what makes the situation so contentious. It's okay for Toyota to use digital designs of the Ferrari to manufacture an identical front wing but not okay for a McLaren employee to get a dossier that he didn't even ask for.
Let's not forget here that Coughlan is not a designer and has little input into the design and development of the car. McLaren used him in a development role but found they had better guys already in place so moved him down the ladder before this year so his role was little more than ensuring that drawings that came from the design team were able to be transformed into actual parts by the manufacturing team. His demotion is why he was looking for another job - same with Stepney. This was two men wanting out and using intellectual property owned by Ferrari to facilitate it in a move to Honda.
People who say that McLaren are using parts designed by Ferrari are simply deluding themselves - like a Ferrari designed part would even fit.....
Stepney did something clearly wrong - he took data and tried to profit from it - unless his stories that the data was planted and attributed to him without his knowledge are true and Ferrari really are trying to stitch McLaren up and using him to do it. If that is true then McLaren can't fire Coughlan as that would be against employment law - they have to prove his guilt as much as the FIA do. Until that proof is arrived at they can only suspend him. There's too many conflicting stories to be able to say anyone is in the wrong here, but your statement that Ferrari have all the right in the world to complain is what made me post here.
Ferrari had all the right to complain about Toyota when that case was black and white and clear as crystal. They didn't.
Ferrari are complaining about McLaren when the waters are so muddy you can't even tell what colour they are, and that is clearly to gain an advantage.

If Ferrari could bend the FIA to their will McLaren would already have been suspended... The fact that they were found guilty and not punished shows what side the FIA are actually on... All the conspiracy theories about Ferrari and the FIA kinda don't work when the FIA don't punish McLaren in this instant...

I don't know about the Toyota stuff, I'll need to think that one over (truth is at the moment I can't remember it :p )...

Thats my point THEY'VE BEEN FOUND GUILTY!!! If McLaren have been told they are guilty then the FIA know that Coughlan is guilty... And why would McLaren care anyway, the man is discrediting the team much more then Ferrari are...

I think you forget the fact that McLaren and Ferrari have been the two biggest rivals for years now...

Fair enough if you feel McLaren are being treated unfairly... But the point is the only reason Hamilton is saying that is because he wants to make himself look good... Once again using the media (which he scorned so much in Turkey) to make sure EVERYONE knows he's playing a team game... And McLaren fans are bound to jump to their defence as much as Ferrari fans (which I have admitted to being) will jump to Ferraris... But the point is McLaren have been found guilty and the new evidence that Hamilton is going on about is coming from the drivers (IF it is coming at all)... You can't blame Ferrari if Pedro and Alonso decide to say something that is going to get McLaren banned... Its in their right to complain... They didn't at first go to the spy stuff, this all came out after Ferrari excused Stephney of messing around with the cars at the factory... Ferrari then had the right to carry on, and yeah it might be because McLaren are their main rivals, but don't act like McLaren wouldn't do the same because Ron Dennis is just as bloody bad...
