Heidfeld open to Fernando as a team mate, and BMW seem interested:

These (EDIT: GPMA) are the teams (currently McLaren, Sauber and Honda) who want to have a stronger position in negotiations with Bernie Ecclestone and haven't signed an extension of the Concorde Agreement yet. At one point it seemed likely that they would form a competing formula (at that time IIRC they also included Ferrari, Toyota, Renault, so this was a serious threat to F1). The current agreement expires at the end of this season, but GPMA and Bernie agreed to a temporary contract for 2008, while further negotiations are underway.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concorde_Agreement - here are some more details.

EDIT: OK, that wasn't too clear ;). The first paragraph was about the GPMA (the 'rebels' !grin! ). The F~0~M (F1 Management) is the company which manages the rights of the teams that have agreed to Bernie's terms - it has a similar function that the FOCA (F1 Constructors' Association) used to have - management, marketing, other organizational tasks except for race management (which is done by the FIA).

I'd be surprised if Alonso goes to the Reds, I think he will go back to Reno and have a very happy 2008!

I think it was a very good choice to keep both of them. They are really good drivers imo.

Williams: Rosberg is not for sale

Williams team boss and founder Frank Williams has said his race driver Nico Rosberg won't be going anywhere else. The 65-year-old Briton said Rosberg won't be for sale to join another Formula 1 team next season. The German driver joined Williams in 2004 as test driver and became the team's official race driver in 2006.

Earlier this season Frank Williams has said his driver Nico Rosberg is as good as F1 championship leader Lewis Hamilton. German media suggested Williams was trying to get Rosberg's value up to eventually sell him to another F1 team. But Frank Williams told German magazine Auto, Motor und Sport: "Nico (Rosberg) is not for sale. He will be racing with us in 2008."

Races will be much more interesting without traction control, that's for sure. :T:@
Drivers will "drive" again. !grin!
