Favourite Qualifying System

There have been so many, but what's the best? I like the 12 laps 1 hour. It was great and so exciting at the end with traffic and everyone flat out! Bring it back! Knockout better than all the single lap rubbish though.

I think I've listed them all, details might not be exact, might have missed some, been so many hard to remember them all!

i like the 3 session quali (knockout) that we have now but i wasn't a fan when there was this 12 lap thingy so i don't know anything about how good that is... :P

the aggregate with 1 lap quali on saturday and 1 lap on sunday was absolutely rubbish..what were they thinking   no wonder it was changed after a few races...

Knock out is the best... 1 hour 12 lap was fun but this sistem is better.

i actually like single lap saturday, running order determined by results of previous race the most because the grids will be most random and involves lots of luck. and there will be less questions of traffic.

but i hate two qualifying sessions with aggreagate. that's rubbish.

the single lap is fair but i don't think it provides enough action and excitement
the knockout is great for the fans but at times it can get too exciting and quite confusing because so many cars are on the track at once, but i still prefer it :P :D

There's something to complain about every system:

The problem with the 1 hour/12 laps system was that everyone waited till the last quarter to set the laptimes, so the beginning was always boring and we had to watch Minardis and Arrows

The single lap system (or two laps) has a little problem with luckyness, specially when there are tricky conditions, cause you can't choose the moment to set the lap, you gotta do it in a determined moment. Plus I think it wasn't as much axciting as the random one.

So in conclusion, I think the current qualy system is great, we are entertained during the whole hour, race strategy comes a bit into play (I love the fact that if you're behind you can refuel and in front you can't), drivers can do as many laps as they want and at any moment, and, although we don't see it now, last year it provided some very good moments at the beginning of Q3's (remember Alonso with the Ferraris :cheesy:)

the 1 hour session with 12 laps was the best because you didnt have the fuel for the race and the fastest driver was really the fastest and not the one with less fuel

If you want to see good driving without clear team strategy like 2 rounds in Q1, Q2, Q3 - Knockout is the best! Sometimes Q1 and Q2 is boring.
