After his retirement at the end of the 2006 Formula One season Michael Schumacher has visited the Spanish and Monaco Grand Prix as Ferrari's advisor. According to Jean Todt, who might retire at the end of this season, Schumacher would be his perfect successor.

"Yes, we are thinking about various people who could take over the whole responsibility of Gestione Sportiva", Jean Todt told reporters in Monaco. "You must always try to plan for the future. Michael has the skills to do it and for me it would be the best, but he does not want to do it. Michael loves the team and the team loves him".

"He is a very clever guy, he knows that to be the head of Gestione Sportiva is a very demanding job where you need to spend 10 or 12 hours every day in the office and be solving problems. Simply he doesn't want to do that which I can understand".

What do you think? Schumi maybe don't want this responsability....

Hmmm.. He was there again in Monaco and may find it hard to keep away. Not sure he'll want to do the whole office thing though.

I was surprised to see him back again at another race. Maybe he does want to be part of the team. Don't know if that would be a good idea or not.

Ross Brawn will be back next year at Ferrari maybe to replace Jean Todt...

Schumi should instead look at getting his own team... I understand Spyker might be on the market soon... :) THAT would be exciting... might solve alot of problems for little brother Ralf!!

You're probably right... it'll end-up like the coopersucar team of Emerson and Wilson Fittipaldi... but it'll still be entertaining to watch. The Prost failure was great fun!

:cheesy:
