Background:

The Nürburgring has a long history dating back to the early 1920's. The original 17.58 mile long circuit, known as the Nordschleife, was built partially as a means to alleviate local unemployment in 1925. The Nordschleife was a legendary circuit known for its seemingly endless chain of ups and downs, with many twisting curves between pine trees, and the Eifel mountains as a backdrop. For many years the circuit was the home of the German Grand Prix, but that came to an end in 1976 following Niki Lauda’s near fatal accident. When the Nürburgring returned in 1984 it was very different circuit rebuilt alongside the old track. Over time the circuit has been modified, most recently in 2002 when the first corner was radically changed to improve overtaking opportunities.

With Raikkonen finally starting to show us what he's made of, he has become the winningest driver in F1 2007 and seems set to make inroads on Hamilton and Alonso's points leads. So the question is: Can Massa Keep up his mainly decent 2007 ???

Hopefully its Mclaren's turn after 2 Ferrari victories, but I really hope for a suprise like bmw winning there first victorie or diefferent drivers in the top 8.

I agree SOOO want Nicky to win, specially if it was at his home Grand Prix :@:2 ... Though don't agree with the Maccas beating Ferrari... If Nicky don't win I wouldn't mind seeing Massa, Kimi or Alonso and them three on podium...

I agree, alonso seems to be 'okay' with the car but he will continue to improve until he will be unbeatable

ferrari looks like have the faster car but i don't really think so i mean even alonso leap frogged kimi last race after the 1st pitstop and he didn't finish very far behind

i think nurburgring will suit the mclaren more here, there are not so many long fast corners and not so many long straights that ferrari likes

Its not gonna be that easy for Alonso to catch Hamilton at all.. His been consistently quicker and consistenly in the top 3 all season so its gonna be difficult, Well if Hamilton has a slip up in just one race and Alonso and kimi make a great race then iam sure they can change the drivers standings

True but i'm getting a bit sick of it thats it only been Mclaren ferrari on the podium outcluding Canada.

My prediction is ferrari will be strong!..but they really hv work on reliability issue which cost them 2006 WCC & WDC

if kimi stops making small mistakes ...he can win WDC :T:@

I think that a good strong BMW weekend is ahead with Hamilton coming around 2nd. Should be a good weekend!

BMW are strong, but they cant catch Ferrari and Mclaren on the track in normal circumstances.
Ferraris and Mclarens have to fail or crash in order for BMW to step up.
thats why they are the best of the rest.

i think BMW are quick in acceleration than Ferrari and mclaren but lack better traction control and cornering grip.
While Ferrari are way ahead of ever1 in braking and mclaren surprisingly more reliable than any1.

i guess bmw will be good @ monza & fuji.

No dubt that Renault or at least Hekki has improved a lot.
I would really like to see Heidfeild win. He is driving very good but the car is unfortunatly not on the same level as Ferrari and McLaren yet.

I think if bmw has pole they can win but there just to scared with the race stratergy thats why there never on the front row. But if they do have pole they can block the mclarens en ferrari's they showed us in Magny Cours and Silverstone.

Last year this GP was won by Michael Schumacher, when the car was not so good. I think that Ferrari are very good here no matter what so I believe Kimi will win from pole.
