Can understand Valsecchi's frustration and disappointment, but to slag off Kovalainen was ungracious. He says "he's not a great champion", well Davide neither are you. You are a man who won GP2 in his fifth season. The fact you have not had an F1 chance this year is not unfair on you, but a said reflection on the state of GP2 that the champion is not worth signing.

If Davide said that, i hope he never gets a chance in F1 then.

In fairness to Davide, Kovalainen never won the GP2 crown :p But yeah, I can understand it but it was an unwise comment.

Valsecchi's accent and hair [before he cut it] are both amazing though.

Ha yeah I'll give him that. :p

Can you imagine the meltdown Will Buxton would have had if Schumacher said yes and denied Valsecchi the chance :p

I still remember him saying on BBC5 live radio: "Kimi is a great champion and Romain is just a boy"

Oh dear. He seems pretty arrogant. Him and Pastor have both annoyed me with their comments the last couple of days. :p

Lol @ Hamilton's Michael Jackson helmet.

I just placed my predictions. Where is Heikki? :p

No wonder he didn't get the seat, must have angered Boullier. :zz:

Won a race more than Valsecchi has, and he hasn't been in GP2 5 years with little interest in him. Let alone his 2008 campaign was actually not too bad, he had the pace of Lewis, he just couldnt string it together. Not every driver in their 2nd year can do it, but he changed his driving style to match Lewis' and he really came together at the end of the year where he had constant Mechanical failures. 2009 he started off great too. The guy was ushered in to Mclaren too quick. he didn't have time to get himself together. Caterham has made him a much better driver.

The next two races will show he deserves his place, and Valsecchi can continue to whinge. If he got the good results sooner in GP2 he might've had a shot.

Looks like the Sauber duo will cause a few headaches for some during qualifying and the race. Red Bull in another planet at the front, while Ferrari struggling to make the top 10.

Bottas also impressive, especially on the hard tyres. Kovalainen in P13 more representative of his pace, which is still a good effort.
