Red Bull sticking Webber with the primes to cover off Alonso in the race.

Judging by the pace, only Webber can jump Vettel during the pitstop phases. Everyone else close enough will be on the same strategy, everyone else on a different strategy will be too far back.

Even Lotus and Merc sent in some mechanics to do it, so it's surely not. :D

On another note, it was interesting to see the small falling out between Alonso and the team. Nor Fernando, nor Domenicali seemed happy with the situation and the mechanics tried their best to stand in front of the camera. I can see Ferrari turning their preference towards Kimi next year...

Not sure if they were mechanics or not, but a guy in Lotus teamwear and another in Merc shirt went in with coolers as Vettel left the car.

I know, but you said cooling in the parc ferme is illegal. I don't think it is since this is not the first time he has done it, and I'm pretty sure a Lotus guy went in with a cooler after him to tend to Kimi's car. And there was even someone from Mercedes.
Why would it be illegal? It's cooling, not changing setup or anything.

If I could choose I would take Webbers situation.
He is the best with options AND there are only 3 cars in front of him.
So he will not loose time with slow cars in front of him.

Webber will drop on the start, the usual thing, but he should stay ahead of Alonso. But, Vettel will be long gone far ahead before Webber can do anything.
