Re: UBS Chinese Grand Prix
Great race for Alonso! great to see him back after Sepang..
Phew finally get back on forum again...
My prediction is wrong again :'-(
But, Hamilton did what he could I guess, P3 seems the maximum he may achieve today. And tremendous speed on Ferrari there! I must say Ferrari make a very much improvement, especially in Qualifying. They did pretty well as usual in starts, and race pace, so I think the biggest improvement is in Qualifying. Alonso have the best chance to fight for WDC for sure!
Next race is Bahrain, and Ferrari is usually doing great there, so I tip Alonso for another win! (and usually my prediction is wrong again :-) )

Re: UBS Chinese Grand Prix
Well Bahrain will be very hot, so tyre conservation will be critical. I would imagine 3 stop, some could try 2.
Could be good for Kimi.
Could be good for Kimi.
Re: UBS Chinese Grand Prix
It was a great race. Strategic, lots of action.
Ether: i told you!
Hamilton drove a great race, but without the Rosberg dnf and either Vettel pitting 1 lap earlier for softs or not making the mistake with the backmarkers, he would have been hard pressed for that podium. Even if not through lack of him being fast...
In any case, there were some mighty drives there in China.
Massa was unfortunate with the strategy, but like i said in Australia, a strategy only works if you have the pace to back it up. Alonso was brought or found himself in traffic several times, Ferrari even fumbled his stop...
Alonso was superb; but Lewis, Vettel, Button, Hulkenberg were awesome too.
Perez was a douche.
You must leave a space. Always.

Re: UBS Chinese Grand Prix
I think it was 50/50. Kimi went for a gap that was decreasing but Perez could have been more aware.

Re: UBS Chinese Grand Prix
I've never been alonso fans (ever). but i must admit he's spectacular. I've enjoyed the race. Glad to see kimi on podium again. and sorry to say actually i wish vettel could be on podium too with kimi (so im hoping vettel could snatch the final podium from lewis), since their brotherly love..wanna see them talking, teasing each other on podium, post race interviews etc. anyways it was good race indeed! cant wait bahrain

Re: UBS Chinese Grand Prix
It wasn't that they weren't respected; the FIA failed to communicate the information to the drivers.dacer wrote:But there were some driver respect yellos flag (not to use DRS) and others no.phil1993 wrote:A delay of 1 minute from display of yellow flags to message to teams - re:DRS problems.
And Webber's penalty is a stewards decision.

Well, Kimi was going for a difficult gap, but Perez totally closed him off. And he made more than 1 defensive on Alonso. Im sure he got a strong message via radio because he tamed off near the end.
