2013 Rolex Australian Grand Prix
Re: 2013 Rolex Australian Grand Prix
I was worried it'd be a Vettel walkover.
This season should be good; McLaren nowhere though.

Yes. The whole race felt like it was missing something tbh when McLaren were scrapping for points.

Right: only the best midfield team, with a double points finish. I'm sure STR, Williams or Sauber would've gladly settled for that kind of failure.Zack wrote:Force India Failed
edit: not to mention McLaren...

Nice podium ;)
Re: 2013 Rolex Australian Grand Prix
It hit me today how much DRS and tyres have changed things.
It was a good race, but tyres decided a lot of it. Was hoping for a more exciting race.

Tyres made it exciting.

I thought today was great, Lotus played it to perfection.
McLaren and Williams in for a huge struggle this season.

Also an excellent day for Bianchi; as expected, he's got the measure of the cripples by a landslide. You could argue he was the best rookie over the weekend.
Re: 2013 Rolex Australian Grand Prix
Well that was exciting, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
Re: 2013 Rolex Australian Grand Prix
I was surprised by just how much better than Chilton Bianchi was. I had an extremely low view of the GP2 field last year, if things carry on like this I think I overestimated them!
Re: 2013 Rolex Australian Grand Prix
Not in that sense ... Clearly, they didn't seem to be so midfield team. Specially, Sutil's drive was amazing. I just think if they could have switch to 3 stopper in the middle .. may be it was possible to stick with top three guys ;)François wrote:Right: only the best midfield team, with a double points finish. Yeshhh Kimi's in the WDC race this year! I was also worried that this would be a Vettel race but Kimi and Fernando were better fortunately! Great race, nothing too spectacular but just solid clean racing. That Lotus girl was cute too.
Re: 2013 Rolex Australian Grand Prix
I think Sutil, even with a drive that flattered the car, was never going to end up higher than 5th or 6th. He never had the pace to keep up with Alonso & co. So clearly midfield.
