Airtel Indian Grand Prix 2012

Code: Select all

Race Date:	28 Oct 2012
Circuit Name:	Buddh International Circuit
First Grand Prix:	2011
Number of Laps:	60
Circuit Length:	5.125 km
Race Distance:	307.249 km
Lap Record:	1:27.249 - S Vettel (2011)
Remember Europeans - the clocks go back.

There's no beating about the bush, last year's race was pretty terrible, saved only because Lewis and Felipe got so bored that they crashed into each other (again), Rowan Atkinson pulled a silly face and then the aforementioned Ferrari driver decided to crash into a sausage kerb for the second time in 24 hours. With the championship finely poised (sort of), it's set for an Indian thriller.

Oh who will win.... That's a good question. Probably Vettel, but I will wait until FP3 to have an idea.

I didn't catch the race last yr. But Vettel won and Massa's got kerbs named after him... so hopefully things have changed in the last 12 months.

I hope alonso win this one amd Vettel DNF :-D I don't like RB and Vettel dominating lolz.. It's ruining the competition already.. As Hamilton moves to Mercedes and Mclaren no more concern at all about him and with some conflicts inside Mclaren, I think it would only be a battle between Vettel and Alonso.. And I really would glad the best driver this year wins the championship.. And that is Alonso not vettel.

It seems to me that the driver with the most points is the best driver...of course the best driver has to be driving the best car, which in this case is Red Bull.

It doesn't matter who is the best driver. Everyone would much rather be the champion....

Alonso and Vettel are both driving very well. Red Bull has a stronger car, and Ferrari seems to be catching up. It took them almost 2 yrs. But it doesnt look like they are 1+ sec behind anymore.

I hope they'll extend the DRS-zone. There was like no overtake in the whole race last year. :p

They did actually (+80m after T3).

Last race had 26 overtakes only (the lowest in 2011).
