If they knew, then they were playing rich or poor, and this time they lost. Too bad for Lewis. If he'd been in top 10, he would have been in podium or who knows even won.Zack wrote:That's okay ... but they already knew about it on out lap ..i guess?reppo wrote:I did read somewhere that there is a lever with fill and drain position. Why Lotus told Raikkonen that Both Alonso and Maldonado will have to pit again in the final stages of the race? delayed team radio or to motivate him?
Re: Gran Premio de España Santander 2012
Elsewhere I saw a comment for that question: "Maybe they need fresh set of brains for their race decisions."iceman1 wrote:Why Lotus told Raikkonen that Both Alonso and Maldonado will have to pit again in the final stages of the race? delayed team radio or to motivate him?
Maybe the only one who can count laps was on his vacation

To motivate, and maybe they doubt about if they have to stop one more time.iceman1 wrote:Why Lotus told Raikkonen that Both Alonso and Maldonado will have to pit again in the final stages of the race? delayed team radio or to motivate him?
For sure they know on his out lap, engineers are watching telemetry all time. And really strange no one note it when on garage.reppo wrote:If they knew, then they were playing rich or poor, and this time they lost. Too bad for Lewis. Of-course they knew. They made second error of unseeing it and ignoring the consequences.reppo wrote:If they knew, then they were playing rich or poor, and this time they lost. Too bad for Lewis. Chavez has declared a public holiday in Venezuela following Maldonado's victory.

Caterham moving forwards - Heikki was 43s off of 10th place. 24s down on Massa in 15th, not bad.

They knew it when he was still in the pits! But still let him go!Zack wrote:That's okay ... but they already knew about it on out lap ..i guess?reppo wrote:I did read somewhere that there is a lever with fill and drain position. Just because Massa's doing terrible doesn't mean everybody else is suddenly awesome!
Caterham wanted to join the midfield this year. But the midfield (part of it at least) has moved forward and Catherham seem to be even further back than they were last year.
Anyway, what a race that was! I'll have to eat my hat because I never thought Maldonado had it in him. He is now a Grand Prix winner and has silenced his critics, me included, for quite a while.
Also worthy of note were Kobayashi's overtakes. Why hadn't we seen these since Japan 2010? Go for it, man!
The rest in brief:
Alonso:
Lotus:
RBR:
McLaren:
Schumacher:

Someone said on Twitter during the podium ceremony they couldn't help but thing of the people oppressed by Chavez as the Venezuelan anthem was playing. Tend to agree, would be nice if he did something about that.

A thought, as posted by Adam Cooper. Alexander Rossi shared the track with Michael Schumacher on Friday, he was not born when Schumacher made his Grand Prix debut. Incredible.

With three retirements in five races, Michael Schumacher is firmly at the bottom of the chart for distance covered so far this year: only 793 kilometres, barely more than half of the total distance run (1538);

Been to Venezuela lately to know the people are being oppressed? Or did you see it on TV or read an article sponsored by our Western nations?donald29 wrote:
